Now that Rena finds out that Suzune received Akari’s heart, she said terrible things to her. Will she make it up to Suzune?
It’s obvious that Rena found out that Suzune had Akari’s heart transplanted in her. Sure, that moment brought up the sad memory of losing her older sister was traumatizing, but it’s obvious that she didn’t mean to say that.
Even so, after the aftermath, Rena has a strange dream of performing in an audition. However, she couldn’t sing while Suzune came on and is able to do so. Of course, Rena saw her older sister asking her if she really want to be on that stage and whether she loves singing. She woke up after having this nightmare.
Despite waking up, Rena still seems very conflicted. She saw Suzune as her rival but finds out she has Akari’s heart that saved her life. Since Rena is close with her older sister, she doesn’t know how to react to the revelations. This caused her to say terrible things to Suzune as a result. She knows that this is something that her older sister wanted. Even so, she had the fan book out, which reminded her of her dream of Akari asking that question. She got upset that she threw it in the trash.
Eventually, Sunny finds it in the trash when she does room cleaning. She obviously knew that this is something important. Meanwhile, Rena is there on the bridge feeling down.
Eventually, Sunny talks to her since she seems worried. She mentions that Rena is different from all the girls she met as Rena never opened. However, she believes that each girl she met show the pearl that each girl polish to shine even brighter. Rena thinks that it’s nothing or just a plain old rock. I wonder the reason Rena believes this even though Sunny doesn’t think so as she hands back the book Rena threw in the trash.
After watching videos of Suzune’s performance from the auditions, Rena finally understands that Suzune got there on her own for the same reason. With that, Rena apologizes to Suzune for the terrible things she said to her. It’s obvious that Rena will make up with Suzune since she now knows the person her older sister saved. This makes me wonder if Rena will become lovey dovey with Suzune now. After all, she now addresses Suzune by her first name without honorifics. It’s obvious where this is going.
From this, Suzune doesn’t realize that Rena lost motivation to continue with the competition. After Rena hugged Suzune after she gave her a letter and a handkerchief, she said that she will root her on. If Rena didn’t make it obvious with her mentioning that she is just following her older sister’s footsteps and she doesn’t have any real passion for singing. She declares her intentions with her interview urging the girls to vote for her for elimination.
On the other hand, it’s obvious that the girls don’t really want to do that. Apparently, they became upset over the interview as they believe its cruel to debut without her. Even Mako thinks it doesn’t feel right to eliminate her and stand up on stage with a smile.
Despite this, I question Rena’s decision. Is this what she really wants? She tried so hard and got so far, but in the end, she is just going to give up? I know she is conflicted, but I have a feeling that she will decide that she might end up regretting. Still, I wonder how the vote will go or whether the girls will eliminate someone or not.
Aside from that, I kind of find Nadoka’s interview kind of funny. She talks about food when she is supposed to share how she feels about the vote. Yes, she is a precious cinnamon bun. Still, I am surprised how well they handled the aftermath of Rena finding about Suzune’s heart transplant. Perhaps, better than Idoly Pride just acknowledging it and never bring it up again.
Great seeing Rena patch things up with Suzune though she still feels lost. Hopefully Suzune and the gang help her find the answer she seeks.
Hopefully the girls find a way to help Rena. Hopefully they don’t listen to her and find a way so that nobody gets eliminated this round..
