Believe it or not, after Jahy sees the Owner, growing her own garden, she decides to give it a try. Of course, she gives it a try as Ryou decides to crash at her place eventually.
One day, Jahy sees the Owner planting some seeds and Jahy wonders what she is doing. Apparently, the owner wants to grow her own vegetable garden to serve fresh produce and save money on the ingredients. Jahy thought it was pain in the butt, until the idea of having delicious vegetables for cheaper appeals to her.
As expected, Jahy’s attempts at growing the plant didn’t go so well initially. The plant wouldn’t spout out until she talked to it and took it out to the sunlight. She also uses tons of insecticide to get rid of the insects. It’s obvious that we are seeing the softer side of Jahy as she really wants the plant to bear fruit.
Eventually, the day has come as the fruits of her labor as the fruits come. I find it funny when Jahy thought they were tomatoes but in fact, hot peppers. Despite her attempts, it always ends up in failure, somehow. Meanwhile, the Owner is apparently enjoying her cherry tomatoes.
In the second segment, it appears that Ryou wants to stay with Jahy. She apparently ran away from home after getting into a fight with her older sister, which is the Owner. It’s obvious that Jaahy doesn’t want her there. I find it funny how Ryou bribes jahy with free rent. Even with that, Jahy becomes annoyed by her taking her blanket, eating all her food and making a mess out of the place. She had enough until Ryou offered to take care of the housework. Jahy accepted this as she goes out for a bit.
Jahy goes and meet with Doujima talking over the progress. While Doujima collected 30 mana crystals, she only has 6 big ones, and most are small. I find it funny how Doujima wants Jahy scold her, and she went overboard. Jahy ordered some expensive sweets as part of the punishment.
However, Jahy caring too much about her pride and not telling the truth about the magical girl taking her mana crystal costed her dearly. Jahy hid the truth by lying that she defeated the magical girl and made her a minion of hers. Doujima didn’t take it well and ran out and left the check with Jahy. Yep, Jahy should of not have her pride get in the way. Now, she is left with an expensive lesson to learn.
Eventually, Jahy came back and saw the apartment still a mess. Moreover, Ryou broke her vacuum. Jahy now wants her out when Ryou’s cell rang. Jahy eventually have Ryou make up with her older sister. Yes, the main reason Ryou ran away from home is because the Owner wears her clothing and stretches out the chest area. Either way, Ryou thank her. I guess in a way, Jahy improved her relationship with Ryou.
Either way, she needs to find a way to gather more mana crystals. From this, we take a glimpse of the demon lord. I guess she will appear at some point in the near future.
Another good episode. You gotta love Jahy and the way she gets attached to stuff so quickly! When she started calling her plant Tomarou that was it! The bits that came after was pure comedy and her attachment and the way she went full on into caring for the plant was sweet as well as funny. As always though her efforts come to naught when the sweet tomatoes actually turned out to be chillies!
As for the next part this scene with Doujima actually reminded of the previous episode that focused on the magical girl; namely that Doujima also loves pain. As much as the girls hate each other it is not so wild for the pair to both be under Jahy’s wing! The thing is though the magical girl has already befriended little Jahy so Doujima’s nightmare could actually become a reality! We could get drama on that front!
The segment with Ryou turning up to the apartment was also nice as it showed a soft side she often tries to hide. I was just surprised Jahy was so quick to end the deal seeing as she got free rent and a housemaid (allbeit a rubbish one). Just goes to show that when it comes to material items and friends Jahy will pick the friends first despite all the bravado she gives out about only caring for herself. She is a good girl at heart but her pride stops her from admitting it!
Yes, I do agree it’s funny how she becomes attached to a plant. After all, she is in it for the free food. Still I think that even treating a plant better than how she treat humans still end up with failure. I guess this trend isn’t ending anytime soon.
Good point, I won’t be surprised that this may as well be happening, although I do wonder why Jingu became a magical girl in the first place. It looks like Doujima has some competition.
Jahy caring for Tomarun was touching and amusing. Had a feeling the punchline would be she didn’t get tomato seeds.
Landlady is like a “manchild” or whatever is the female equivalent. Not a big deal. Just gotta work on her short temper.
Druj was excellent as usual. Love her so much.
I guess Jahy can’t break the curse of failure, although she should of checked the packaging instead of getting caught up in the hype for free food. Still, it’s interesting that Ryou is loosening quite a bit compared to the first half.
