It’s obvious that Kanon and her friends make the cut. The headmistress apparently calls them to her office. I wonder what her request is.
I must admit that seeing Kanon and her friends in front of the computer to see the results was funny. Sure, the suspense was killing them as they want to see their name. Yep, it seems that other are anxious about the results too that the site crashed. Thankfully, Yuna and Mao texted something that suggests that Liella made it to the next round. Indeed, they did, so crisis averted.
Of course, the focus of this episode is on Kanon. You might be wondering why? On the PA, the headmistress specially calls the School Idol Club to the office. I find it funny how Ren freaks out because of Ren view something called the Forbidden World. It’s obvious what it is.
Thankfully, it’s not for that as the head mistress has a request for the girls to make. They want them to perform at an elementary school. No, not just any elementary school, but the one Chisato and Kanon graduated from. Kanon seems excited since she can get to perform at her elementary school she attended. As for Chisato, well she gets a bit worried.
As expected, you might be wondering why Chisato is worried. We see a flashback as Kanon is tries to calm the nerves of her classmates in her choir. Of course, she is excited to sing. However, what happens next says otherwise as Kanon nervousness starts to settle in. This is probably why Chisato decided to talk to Sumire, Keke, and Ren in private about it. While Kanon has improved, it’s obvious that Chisato is worried about her anxiety issues, especially since they are performing at the elementary school she attended from.
Of course, they visited the school and saw the stage. Of course, Kanon starts acting funny as Chisato takes her backstage. They even have her practice in front of the stage. We see signs that Kanon have trouble singing alone but can do it fine together. This can be a problem since the theme of the tournament involves solos. Kanon has the singing talent, but the crippling anxiety is holding her back. Makes me wonder how they will resolve this.
Yes, the way they resolve it is Chisato, Ren, Keke, and Sumire pretend that they are busy that day. In other words, Kanon will perform alone. Chisato feels that it’s for the best as she feels that Kanon is too reliant on her friends being there. The only way she feels that she can resolve it is to have Kanon do it alone. Sure, they are lying, but it’s for the best.
On the day of the performance, it’s obvious that Kanon feels anxious. Of course, she sees her younger self. She gives her younger self some encouragement. It’s obvious by now that Kanon realizes that she is not alone. She not only has her friends in mind, but her younger self.
In the end, Kanon managed to pull through and sang a solo without any issues. After all, she is not alone anymore. The funny thing is that her friends were watching her along with her younger self. It becomes obvious when Chisato ran on stage and hugs her. Yes, they blew their cover, but it’s nice to see that everything is coming together. With Kanon getting over her anxity, is it enough to bring home a win? We’ll see soon enough.
Nice seeing Chisato help Kanon overcome her anxiety along with Kanon helping her smol self.
Chisato X Kanon 4 Life.
I bet Riko’s proud of Ren.
Agreed. It’s obvious that there is something left about Kanon’s anxiety since she can’t initally get over it that easy. Still, it’s nice to get in touch of her younger self.
