Now that Chisato changed sides or rather curriculums to become a school idol, there is still one looming threat. That is from Ren of course, who dislikes school idols.
I must admit that seeing Kanon’s and Keke’s reaction when she saw Chisato in the general curriculum school uniform is priceless. I guess Chisato probably likes this school uniform over the music school one. Either way, with four members strong, the school idol club is looking up.
However, something is about to threaten it. After Kanon, Keke, and Chisato looks at the announcement for the student council president, they find out that Ren will run. Yep, this will threaten the mere existence of school idols. After all, Ren does not like school idols for some reason and will probably do anything to prevent them from continuing their school idol activities. So, that what Keke fears.
To prevent that uncertain fate, she wants Kanon to run for Student Council President. I find it hilarious how Keke pushes this onto her while Kanon refuses to go along with it. Of course, Sumire decides to enter the election. She feels that she has a shot due to her show business experience. Of course, Keke doesn’t feel confident that Sumire can pull it off. After all, this is Ren they are facing off against.
As expected, Chisato thought it’s a good idea to open a Takoyaki stand to help Sumire. Yep, Sumire tried to bribe the students with food, which gets them into big trouble. The headmaster finds out and punishes Sumire with a 20-vote deficit. Yep, nobody voted for Sumire and Ren won by a landslide by 121 votes. Is it over for Kanon and her friends? Will they have to do their school idol activities in secret?
Of course, things get stranger as Ren announced that the cultural festival will only focus on the music program. This upsets the student body so much that they want to fight this. The problem goes deeper as Kanon and her friends followed Ren to her home.
Yep, as expected, Kanon after she and her friends get chased by a dog sees an album. Yes, it had pictures of Ren’s mother and a graduation photo. Ren eventually comes clean when she tries to dismiss her maid. This is in despite the maid wanting to work for free. But we know what is obvious. Both of her parents unfortunately passed away, leaving Ren the house and the school. Believe it or not, Ren is close to becoming financially desolate if things don’t change with the school enrollment numbers.
I guess the reason why Ren is against the school idol thing is obvious. She is too proud to become one. Then again, she probably feels that she knows about two school idol units that tried to save their school by becoming one. From that, I can see why the school headmaster allowed Kanon and Keke to form one. It’s only a matter of time until Ren gives in. She may do so sooner rather than later.
