As the episode’s title suggests, it’s full of Elma. The funny thing is that she goes so far to try to unionize her workplace.
It’s obvious that Elma is getting frustrated by the working conditions at her jobs. Sure, Takiya and Kobayashi work long hours, but Elma is having enough of it. After all, it’s cutting into her time to buy her favorite sweets. Not too surprising to see her trying to unionize the workplace since she is a harmony dragon. Her goal is obviously to have the company negotiate a collective bargaining agreement for improved working conditions.
As expected, Kobayashi agrees with her complaints, but she thinks the work conditions is okay. Of course, Elma is not having it as she doesn’t think the working conditions is good enough. I find it interesting how she created proposals and have Kobayashi check it. Sadly, she rejected the first as the company is having trouble finding employees that has experience with legacy programing languages. Not too surprising since new graduates aren’t going to learn it and training takes time.
With that, Elma came with a more thought-out plan. Kobayashi thinks it’s good. Of course, management rejected it since they think it cost too much. So, she went back to the drawing board and came up with an even more detailed report with worker behavior reports. Yep, she used her powers to observe their behavior. Of course, this report eventually had their manager callimh Elma, Kobayashi and Takiya into the office. Yep, is the manager going to fire them?
What is so surprising is that their manager is Shouta’s father. He praises Elma for her detailed report and knows that she is the priestess of the holy seas. Not only that, but he also mentions Lucoa looking after Shouta and he simply wanted to meet them in person. Of course, they only received a promise of looking over the proposal while paying off Elma with some sweets.
As expected, Elma isn’t going to give up that easily. Yep, she works on educating the employees to unionize the work force. Of course, Tohru gives her full support. After all, she wants Kobayashi to return from work early so she can spend more time with her. Yep, she obviously has an ulterior motive despite Elma being her rival.
Even with that, Elma realizes that she is using up her time. Yes, the time she can use to buy the station’s limited sweets. In other words, she basically given up for the day. At least she managed to buy at least one limited time sweet. As they say, unionization takes a lot of time and effort.
In the second segment, Elma is about to eat her sweets when Kanna, Riko, and Shouta knocked on their door. They want to go on a picnic and Elma is the only one available. She eventually agrees. Yep, she gets to eat some great food Kanna, Riko, and Shouta came up with. Also, Kanna and Riko went fishing.
Of course, Kanna, Riko, and Shouta decides to look for something while Elma bathes her feet. Yep, it’s funny how she panics when Kanna and her friends disappeared. Of course, I find it funny how Kanna, Riko and Shouta freaks out with the presence of Elma following them.
At the same time, Elma runs into a bear and scares it. I find the bear’s reactions hilarious. Thankfully, Elma finds Kanna and her friends after transforming into her dragon form. Kanna notices Elma’s dragon form, but Shouta puts her to sleep. However, they were only looking for the special flower for Elma to thank her. She really enjoys the nectar from it. I find it cute how Kanna prepared a flower for Riko when she asked for one.
As for the last segment, it’s basically a rematch against Elma and Tohru over ideologies over mingling with humans. That and their fighting skills are getting a bit rusty. While the fight is interesting to watch, it ended up in a stalemate. Yep, Kobayashi decides to treat them both. The funny thing is that their treat is Ilulu and Kanna tickling Elma’s and Tohru’s feet respectively. Not too surprising since it’s a draw after all. You can’t expect a meal out of that without a winner.
