Father’s Day is coming up and Shouta decides to become an alchemist. Also, Kobayashi apparently comes down with a cold.
It seems that Father’s Day is coming up and Shouta wants to make something special for his father. The funny thing is that Lucoa thinks Father’s Day is breasts day. The word used in Japanese for father sounds the same as breasts.
She wanted to help him out, but he refuses. Of course, she asks for some advice from Kobayashi about why Shouta wants to make a talisman. Still, seeing Kobayashi’s expression when Lucoa believes Father’s Day is Breasts Day is priceless.
As expected, Shouta decides to become an alchemist. He buys ingredients to synthesize in his cauldron from an online marketplace. Of course, he did a lot of research before he started synthesizing.
As expected, he faced so many failures with the contents in the cauldron explodes not once, but three times. It’s starting to feel like the earlier Atelier games that if you try to create items that are beyond one’s ability, it can fail spectacularly. Of course, Lucoa wonders what happened when the house shook and if Shouta is okay. He said that everything is okay, when it’s not.
Of course, he refuses help after his failures. That is until he talked about his failures in a MMORPG. He also shares about wanting to create an item to make his father proud. Shouta finally realizes that he should probably focus on how the creator originally intended to create the item. Eventually he did it and shows it off to Lucoa. The funny thing is that he only shares only a snippet of how he did it to Lucoa before realizing he shouldn’t tell her everything.
As expected, his father seems to like what he received. The funny thing is that Lucoa gives Shouta her usual hug thinking it’s breasts day. The funny thing is that Kanna gives some tickets and thinks Kobayashi is her father. Is it because of her usual wear or that Ilulu temporarily changed her gender temporarily several episodes back? Who knows?
In the second segment, Kobayashi is about to head to work. Tohru notices something funny about her. It seems that Kobayashi catches a cold but decides to go to work still. That is until she collapses.
You know where this is heading. Tohru calls in sick for Kobayashi and does the nursing thing. instead of creating a simple rice porridge, she created her own dish. Kobayashi ate it but didn’t like how Tohru didn’t create normal food. Of course, Tohru decides to take things in her own hands and find medicine. She doesn’t realize that a cold is a virus and the only things that cures it is a good rest.
When Kobayashi woke up, she wondered where Tohru went. She saw Tohru come up all worn out with some medicine. Kobayashi decides to take it without realizing it turns herself into a cat girl. I guess she wanted to make Tohru happy without realizing the side effects Yep, Kobayashi scolds Tohru. Still, it’s funny to see Kobayashi act like a cat as Kanna plays with her.
In the last segment, Ilulu discovers a basket with a doll in the shop she works at. She wondered if someone left it behind. Yep, she wants to find the owner because of that memory she had. The memory from her childhood leaving behind the doll the children created after she couldn’t play with them after that incident traumatized her.
While it seems hopeless when the scent started to go away because of the rain. While Taketo brought her an umbrella, Kobayashi and Tohru already found the owner. Of course, like Ilulu, the owner of the doll regretted abandoning the doll. She only got rid of it because she was self-conscious about what people think about her. I think she shouldn’t let judgmental people bother her. Still, it’s good to learn more about Ilulu.
I like Shouta the shota more than Boy because he’s a wizard in training while Boy…exists.
Tohru’s love for Miss Kobayashi must never be denied.
It’s a shame the show seems to want to ship Ilulu with Boy but I still love her very much.
Not too surprising to see Tohru going out her way to help nurse Kobayashi. Still, I find it funny how getting that medicine was unnecessary, but the thought is what counts in the end.
Not too surprising about Ilulu and my feelings about Taketo is very mixed, but not game breaking.
