Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S – Episode 3 – Ilulu and the Pursuit for Happiness

July 21, 2021 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
It’s Riko’s lucky day, until she finds out they aren’t alone.

Now that Ilulu is part of the family, she wants to make some friends. Of course, Tohru tries to figure out her own hobbies.

She seems a bit disappointed after seeing Ilulu

It’s nice to see a segment that focuses on Kanna and Riko again. Of course, Riko becomes excited that she will have some time alone with Kanna. When she walked into the bathroom, it’s funny to see Ilulu on the toilet. Seeing Riko’s reaction was priceless. Of course, she panics since Ilulu ruined her chance to be with Kanna alone.

I have a feeling that Riko intentially lost.
This doesn’t feel like a punishment at all.

Riko finally finds out that Ilulu started living there recently. This causes Riko to become a bit more curious about Kana’s family. Riko decides to play a card game. She asks Ilulu if she wants to join in, but she goes back to her room. Of course, Riko loses on purpose and her punishment is to rub Kanna’s tummy. It seems more like a reward than a punishment.

Ilulu wants to play with Kanna and Ilulu, but doesn’t feel if she can.

Of course, Lucoa comes over and visits Ilulu. She finds out that Ilulu is having some difficulty adjusting to her new life. After all, she dealt with the trauma of giving up her childhood to fight. Sure, there is mention that she wants to go back in time, but she doesn’t want to forget what Kobayashi said to her.

Lucoa does her magic on Riko.
Yep, Riko’s harem just grew.
Ilulu is happy that she played with Riko and Kanna.

Still, I find it funny how Lucoa does her magic to cause Riko to have the urge to use the rest room. Yes, it’s a setup to have Riko become friends with Ilulu. Sure, Ilulu doesn’t feel that she can become friends since she was a violent person in the past. After Riko shared her experience when she first met Kanna, she wants to become friends with Ilulu too since she is cute. Yep, it seems that Riko might be creating her own harem just like Kobayashi. Still, it’s nice to see them have a lot of fun.

In the second half, Kobayashi is watching Tohru. Tohru wonders if Kobayashi is having the passion in her gaze. Of course, she sighs over the maid outfit and the inability to wear it. Sure, her family didn’t like it, thus causing her to only wear men clothing. Of course, Tohru calls her friends to come up with a maid outfit that will suit Kobayashi.

Kobayashi and Georgie understand each other when it comes to maids.

Yep, it seems that Kobayashi rejects most of the designs since they are too cute or revealing. When she saw Georgie’s design, she seems to like it. As expected, Georgie believes that the outfit doesn’t make it the maid outfit, but the maid wearing the outfit makes it a maid outfit. In other words, the outfit doesn’t matter too much. Kobayashi seems to agree.

I have to admit, she looks good in it.

Of course, Elma comes in and wonders what outfit Tohru came up with. Her notebook was empty since she wants Kobayashi to wear her maid outfit. She eventually did so and everyone thinks that she looks good in it. They of course take a photo together.

In other words, the outfit Kobayashi bought with her first paycheck is not a maid outfit, but cosplay. After all, a maid didn’t wear it, it’s not a maid outfit. Now that she wore an outfit worn by an actual maid, Tohru, this changes her mind. Still, it’s good that she didn’t regret it and not to worry about what others think.

In the last segment, Tohru decides to explore her hobbies. Sure, she didn’t think about it before, but she tries a few. Yes, it involves music and wood carving. Of course, while she is good at them, she doesn’t find any joy from it.

Towana finally appears in Anime form.

After asking Kanna and Ilulu about their hobbies, there is one that catches her interest. Yes, she sees a music video of “Aozora no Rhapsody” and she sees the singer as Kobayashi. Still, it’s interesting to see fhána’s singer, Towana wearing the same exact maid outfit with the same hair style in anime form.

Tohru just lost her mind.

When Kobayashi finished work, she receives a phone call from Kanna that Tohru losing it. Yep, she sings a song with a piecing voice with bunch of Kobayashi merch she made. I find it funny how Kobayashi thinks this is just as bad when she is drunk.

Yep, it seems that Shouta underestimated Kanna and Riko.

Aside from that, there is the board game segment. Yep, Ilulu was the first that went bankrupt. When they did the second round, Kanna almost head to the place where Shouta bought all the properties. Kanna went the other way and reached the goal. She heads to the goal since Riko ransferred all her assets to Kanna. Yep, Riko is happy that she is now Kanna’s.

Riko is a true heroine. Bless her and her undying love for Kanna and attraction to short dragon girls.

Nice to see Ilulu open up more and slowly forgive herself. She naturally deserves to be happy too. Thank you Lucoa for your help.

Tohru and Miss Kobayashi were excellent as always.

Agreed. While it’s obvious that she still prefers Kanna, it’s good that she building a harem of her own. Also, good that Ilulu is interacting with others too.
