You might be wondering, why Laika needs to go back home? Is Azusa’s new family falling apart? Not really as it’s something else.
As expected, while Laika serves breakfast, she reveals that she needs to return home. You might be wondering why? Apparently, her older sister is getting married and she wants to invite everyone along. Still, I find it funny how everyone becomes disappointed about Laika leaving, until she said it’s for a wedding. I guess Halkara asking about romantic experiences to Azusa is not too surprising.
With that, they head to Mount Rokko where Laika’s family lives. When they got there, everything looks big. Not too surprising since there are dragons. The funny thing is that Laika’s classmates act like rich girls. Azusa reveals that they are her juniors from the all-girls school she attended. Yep, Azusa becomes shocked by this given how classy they are. Laika also introduces Azusa to her parents. Of course, Halkara walked on the plate and the dragon thought she was food. I guess, she should be a bit careful.
Eventually, the blue dragons came to crash a wedding, or rather ruin it. It’s obvious that blue and red dragons do not get along with each other. As expected, Flatorte and other dragons from her clan decides to ruin everything. It’s because Flatorte didn’t like the fact that someone got married when she is still single. Well, it didn’t end well as Azusa gave her and her perpetrators a brutal beating with some fire magic and physical strength.
Of course, there are some blue dragons trying to freeze the volcano. Laika and Azusa head there to find out that Beelzebub used magic to weaken them. Yes, Azusa becomes surprised that she is at Mount Rokko. She used demon magic to weaken them. Of course, Azusa is happy for her stopping them and hugs her. As expected, she likes how Beelzebub smell.
Eventually, Flatorte transformed into her human form after Azusa mispronounced her name. Yes, Laika shows her the damages she caused and threatens imprisonment. Of course, this means paying for damages and a non-aggression treaty. Yep, it seems that she lost part of the purpose of living: to harass the red dragons. At least there is peace.
With that, there is the second part of the party of the dragons taking their human forms. As expected, Halkara becomes completely drunk. Leila and her husband come to introduce herself to Azusa. Also, Leila is happy that Laika has friends.
Of course, Flatorte like any tsundere reluctantly gave Leila a rose as an apology. Laika also shared how to Azusa how her older sister pat her on the head. Now, it’s hard for her to do so since she is married. Thankfully, Azusa is there to do the same. Then again, Flatorte doesn’t realize there is something in that treaty that she didn’t realize yet. We’ll find out sooner than later.
The funny thing is that when Azusa came back, she sees Shalsha and Falfa poking Halkara. Still, it’s good that Azusa eventually takes them, Azusa, and Beelzebub to the hot springs before leaving the next day. After all, they deserve it after what happened.
Fun episode with a new girl introduced who I’m sure will eventually become part of Azusa’s family harem. More importantly Laika grew closer to Azusa.
I have no doubt that Flatorte will be joining soon. After all, there is probably something in that treaty someone hid in the conditions. Still, it’s good to see Laika being closer to Azusa.
I went ahead and read the manga adaptation & all I’ll say we’ll see more of Flatorte. She has her moments moments, but there are parts with her that are both sad yet sweet
Hopefully so, probably after the demon king arc.
The preview of the next episode is already out and it’s confirmed that we will see Flatorte become part of Azusa’s family soon enough.
