Now that Rin has three days to kill, she tries to figure out what she is going to do for the next few days. Of course, Nadeshiko calls Rin invites to stay at her grandmother’s house. Yes, it’s an offer she can’t refuse.
From last time, the snow covered her hometown’s roads. In other words, Rin can’t go home using her moped. While waiting for her grandfather, she has time to kill. Yes, Nadeshiko finally invites Rin to stay at her grandma’s house, which is near Lake Hamana. Not only that, one of Nadeshiko’s friends will visit. Rin eventually accepts.
Before arriving at Nadeshiko’s grandmother’s place, she camped at another area, which is cheap. She also checks out the ocean there and saw people fishing. Yes, Rin even sits on the beach and reads a book and eventually go to a hot spring bath. Of course, Rin wondered why people are gathering. Apparently, they want to watch the sunset over the red torii.
The next day, it’s obvious that Rin wants to buy strawberry rice cakes as a present for Nadeshiko. I find it funny how after getting a ticket that it seems like everyone wants to buy 50. Yep, this gets Rin a bit worried, but thankfully she got what she needed after complaining. Of course, Nadeshiko bought a treat for Rin as a present too. Eventually, Rin finally meets Nadeshiko at the station and show her the black headed gulls before going to a place for lunch.
As expected, it seems that Rin’s dream of having eel that she saw when she came in town has become true. Of course, Nadeshiko ordered the more expensive top grade one without realizing the price. I find it funny how her eye literally popped out after seeing the price.
Obviously, Nadeshiko is treating Rin since her father wants her to treat Rin to some Lake Hamana eel. Still, it’s funny to see Rin’s reaction. It’s starting to become like a date. Still, I find it funny how Nadeshiko covered her eyes since she doesn’t like to see the blood while the cook prepared an eel. At least it tastes good.
At last, Rin and Nadeshiko arrived at her grandmother’s place. Yep, Nadeshiko’s old friend, Ayano finally greets Nadeshiko and Rin. I find it funny how Aya’s talks very familiar to Aoi. She thanks Rin for sharing the camping photos.
Of course, Nadeshiko eats the Eel Pie. I find it funny how Ayano recalls the way Nadeshiko used to eat. Not only that, she used to be fat from all that eating. Yep, Aya shared Rin those photos. Of course, Nadeshiko’s older sister eventually had enough of Nadeshiko being fat and forced her to lose the weight. Still, at least Nadeshiko now looks better, although Aya liked the chubby Nadeshiko. Of course, Rin offered to try grilling, which she does with the rice cakes. Yep, they turned out well.
After Rin have fun with Ayano and Nadeshiko, Ayano must leave. Yep, she has work, but they met up at with her the observatory later in the night. They saw how pretty Lake Hamana at night. It becomes obvious that Rin still prefers camping along despite trying group camping for the first time. They also had some hot cocoa while Nadeshiko had cup noodles.
Of course, Ayano shares how surprised when she heard Nadeshiko is camping in the cold, but she finally gets it after hearing them. This makes me wonder, will she give it a try? Time can only tell as Rin heads home with her grandfather.
It was nice to see our heroines together again and Aya’s a delightful new girl. Hope she’ll come visit later this season.
Rin’s tribute to classic cartoons was excellent.
Yes, it’s nice to see Nadeshiko take Rin out for lunch. I guess it can be a date, maybe? Also, I hope that Ayano shows up again at some point. I wonder how will Aoi and Aki react if she finds out that Nadeshiko used to be chubby.
