After Rin camped with the Outdoor Activities Club and Ena during the Christmas holidays, she decides to go solo camping during the New Year’s Holiday. Also, we learn about how Rin got into camping.
You might be wondering how Rin gain an interest in camping. Compared to the first episode from the first season, she struggled a bit. It’s not too surprising since she knew how to put up a tent, start a fire and cook a meal properly. Not so much during her middle school years. She sees a package from her grandfather on stuff he is not using anymore. During a fall afternoon, she decides to open a box. It contains a tent and other gear. She decides to assemble it. This causes her to gain an interest in outdoor camping.
Her father brought Rin to the campsite as Rin unloads the equipment. She puts up the tent, but she struggled a bit. Also, she had trouble lighting a fire. Of course, she made the beginner mistake of using a pot directly on the campfire and cause the bottom of the pot to turn black. Yep, it seems that Rin didn’t know what to do, but thankfully there was someone that helped teach her how to light a fire. Still, I find it funny how Rin tries to franticly clean the pot but fail.
Not only that, it seems that Rin’s mother packed some emergency food. Yep, it’s curry cup ramen. While the title already makes a reference to this, believe it or not, Rin made the same cup ramen, which she made for Nadeshiko in the first episode. Still, this shows how far Rin got in learning the basics of outdoor camping. Still, middle school Rin is precious. At least she managed to survive, despite making several beginner mistakes.
With that, this brings us back to the present. It seems that Nadeshiko and her friends are sharing plans for New Year’s break. Nadeshiko also eats lunch with Ena asking how work is going. Of course, Chiaki and Aoi are also busy with work. It seems that Rin is the only one that took four days off.
With that, she wants to go solo camping again on a beach, perhaps Izu. She eventually settles on going somewhere in Omaezaki, especially Iwata. Of course, this reminds her of that dog shrine from the first season. Yep, it’s obvious where Rin is going since she finds dogs cute.
When Rin sets out to her destination, she runs into Nadeshiko who came out of the convince store. Yep, she gives Rin a curry cup ramen. Yep, it’s a nice way for her to pay back Rin. Even so, this is a nice Rin and Nadeshiko moment as the sun rises. Still, I wonder how Rin’s trip to her destination will turn out. We’ll have to wait and see next time.
The camping cuties are back! We love to see it, yes. Not much to add to be honest. It was a simple but enjoyable premiere Excited for more.
Definitely. As expected, the Nadeshiko and Rin moment towards the end of the episode was great.
