Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear – Episode 11 – Yuna Cooks the Kraken

December 16, 2020 by Chikorita157 5 Comments
At last, Yuna help Atlia found the perpetrator.

Now that Yuna caught the thieves, this only leaves her one thing she needs to do. Yes, it’s defeating the kraken.

Last time, it’s obvious a bunch of thieves came into Yuna’s bedroom to, well kidnap her or steal her bag. As expected, she is not having it as she apprehends all the perpetrators. Yep, the guild master wasn’t happy when he received news that someone caught the thieves. Now, he is in deep crap. Still, I find it funny how Atlia is not letting Yuna sleep after she finds thieves tied up. Not only that, Yuna told her what happened.

Believe it or not, the guild master went to his treasure trove and try to grab what he can. Sadly, he got surrounded as Atlia comes with all the evidence, including the apprehended thieves.

As expected, that guild master is going to jail. He charges at Yuna, but thankfully Atlia bunches him the cheeks as he gets taken away. With that, Yuna finally saved the day as catching the thieves was enough to apprehend the criminal Guild Master. As they say, scalpers are scum, especially those who scalps PlayStation 5.

Yuna is happy that she is having a Japanese style meal finally.
She is now in heaven.

As expected, Yuna finally gets the celebration dinner that she deserves. It’s basically consists of grilled fish, rice, and miso soup. As expected, when she took a first bite, she was in tears since it tasted so good. Not only that, she also misses a Japanese style meal. While the person wants to try making more Japanese style meals, they don’t have the ingredients because of the Kraken. This gives Yuna the motivation to try to defeat it.

Yes, this is not going to work. Bears can’t fly.
It seems that Yuna might have a good idea.

While Yuna came up with a few ideas looking at what some children are doing, they weren’t good ideas. It’s funny how she envisions the outcome like in a video game. It’s not until she had a hot pot dinner with the husband-and-wife duo that Yuna saved. After she tastes the squid, this lit up the lightbulb in her head.

Yuna is definitely pushing the limit.

She enlists Atlia’s help by asking for a long rope. She tied a sandworm as bait to the rope so she can lure the Kraken. After she lured the kraken to the enclosed body of water, she uses earth magic to entrap it. Afterwards, she used her fire to boil the water in the enclosed lake.

After a tough battle, Yuna finally receives the rest she deserves.

While Yuna almost exhausted herself and the Kraken almost attacked her, she managed to do the impossible. Yes, the kraken finally dies after being in boiling water. Also, the townspeople eventually watched what is taking place. Either way, Yuna will receives a nice celebration dinner after taking a rest in the last episode.

Best part of the episode was more screen time for Atla. OG approved. The rest of the episode was vintage KKKB stuff. It was no GoW or KH3 Kraken boss fight but it was interesting. Good stuff.

Yes, she is a beauty. Still, it’s nice to see the Kraken finally get defeated in the way I expected.

I really hope for a season 2! There’s some arcs from the web novel I really badly want to see animated!

Was really satisfied with the episode! Glad they included Yuna’s tear-filled reunion with Japanese food, and that they worked in the planning phase for the fight! Was worried they were going to rush through it like they’ve been doing with a lot of the story so far, but nope!

Also glad the Kraken fight wore her out like in the originals. Was a little annoyed how anime Yuna brutalized 10,000 monsters and wasn’t even tired like in the source material. So I was glad they left that in for this episode at least!

You are in luck as there is already a second season announced yesterday. Still, there are a lot of great moments and I agree the battle was nice. At least the Kraken presented Yuna a challenge instead of being a walk in the park.
