At last, Yuna decides to go on a new adventure. Judging from the title of this episode, it’s obvious she wants to go to the sea.
You might be wondering why Yuna is doing in a snowy mountain or why Fina is using a cellphone like device. Apparently, Yuna apparently misses eating seafood, namely tuna sashimi, fried shrimp, mackerel simmered in miso, grilled salt saury, and dried horse mackerel.
I must admit I kind of feel the same way as Yuna. Thanks to the pandemic, I couldn’t buy raw sashimi from Mitsuwa Marketplace in New Jersey. I am not going to stand in line for 15-30 minutes and possibly catch Covid19. I guess that must wait until next summer.
Also, I am not buying sashimi from a restaurant since it’s a huge rip-off. $6.99+ dollars for only two slices of fish are too expensive. Sure, there is quality difference but still. I found out recently that my local H Mart sells sashimi, but not a huge selection. Still, at least it’s something until the pandemic is over. But I can understand how Yuna feels.
Obviously, Yuna wants to find how to solve the fish problem like with the eggs. She consulted with Mirein as she finds out a nearby port town, Millela outside of the kingdom. However, the Elezent mountains surrounds the town. As expected, Yuna decides to scale the mountain so she can set up a teleport gate. Yes, I find it cute how Yuna communicate with Fina with a bear phone.
While scaling the mountain, she finds a husband-and-wife duo. Apparently, they tried to get to Crimonia for food. Yuna finds out from them that someone released the kraken. This makes it impossible for fishermen to fish. At the same time, thieves are apparently taking advantage of the situation by threatening their lives and limiting the food supply. Of course, the town people can only buy food for egregious prices since the guild master is taking advantage of the situation.
After Yuna witnessed the husband-and-wife duo she saved telling them they couldn’t bring back anything and their children suffering from hunger, she decides to give them a supply food that she has in her bag. In exchange, they told her where the adventurer’s guild is.
Eventually, Yuna finds the guild master, Atlia who is attractive looking drinking something. She didn’t believe that Yuna is an adventurer because she is wearing a bear outfit. That is until she read her adventurer’s card. Yep, she became surprised when she saw that Yuna defeated a tiger wolf, goblin king, and a black viper. Then, she finally accepted Yuna’s donation and the stall in the center of town handed out free wolf meat.
Of course, the guild master is not happy he is losing profits. This is not too surprising since he lacks ethics by limiting the supply of food and jacking up the prices. He also hired thieves to make his plan work. As expected, he is no better than those scalpers. Yes, those jerks who buy up all the supply of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nvidia RTX 3000 series video cards, AMD Radeon RX 6000 series video cards, and AMD Ryzen 5 CPUs. Some scalpers even outright steal these items.
Thankfully, his plan of having thieves kidnap Yuna was a huge failure. Kumakyuu and Kumayuru alerted them and when they came, Yuna gave them a beating. She interrogated them for information to find their hideout. After finding their hideout, Yuna basically burnt the thieves to the crisp for the evil deeds and interrupting her sleep. I have to admit that these are the dumbest criminals.
With that, Yuna finally resolves part of the food supply issue. Now, she only has one thing left to deal with. Yes, it’s the kraken. I wonder how she will defeat it so she can finally have some seafood. We’ll find out soon enough.
At last Atla made her highly anticipated debut and I love her already. Interested to see how her investigation will go.
Fina will make a great wife for Yuna.
Mini summon bears are a blessing.
Kinda intrigued to see how Yuna will battle the Kraken next time.
Atla’s first appearance indeed did not disappoint. Still, it’s good that Yuna defeated the thieves, which definitely ruined the guild master’s plans. Still, it’s a pretty scummy move just like scalpers.
Yes, the mini bears are adorable.
