Valentine’s Day is finally here, and it seems that Adachi forgot to buy her chocolates. Also, I wonder what is up with Tarumi?
It’s funny how Yashiro wants Valentine’s day chocolate from Shimamura’s little sister. However, she forgot that she needs to give some. Yep, she doesn’t know how Valentine’s day works. Still, I wonder if she will bring back some chocolates next time.
Aside from that, while Adachi is happy to see Shimamura, she wonders if she got the chocolates. Thankfully, Shimamura reinsures Adachi that she has them after seeing the puppy look on Adachi’s face. It’s obvious that she doesn’t want to disappoint her. Still, it’s kind of cute Adachi imagines herself as a cute puppy for Shimamura. Essentially, this is kind of what is it, at least for now.
After school, Adachi wants to go to Nagoya. Apparently, she forgot to buy chocolates when she asked about the ones Shimamura bought. They manage to make it to the train. I find it funny how they played Shiritori. I find it cute that Adachi about to say suki, which means to love in Japanese. Of course, she holds herself back. Who knows how Shimamura would react if Adachi said that she loves her out of the blue?
At last, Adachi stands on a line to buy the chocolates at the stand she wants to. Apparently, Shimamura is keeping track of the time for some reason. Still, they did some thumb wrestling, but alas, Adachi finally manages to buy what she wanted. The funny thing is that Shimamura brought the chocolates at the same place with Tarumi. Yes, Tarumi takes Shimamura to the same exact places as Shimamura does with Adachi. Am I sensing a pattern?
Either way, it seems that Shimamura feels kind of uncomfortable being around with Tarumi. I guess it’s because Shimamura isn’t the same person as she was when she is little. It becomes apparent when Tarumi asks her about the nickname Shimamura called Tarumi during her childhood.
Eventually she remembered, but I have a feeling that things will get cloudy for Adachi. I mean in a love triangle kind of way. The question remains, will Tarumi transfer to Shimamura’s school now that she knows what school she goes to?
Aside from that, the reason Shimamura kept track of time is simple. She wants to show Adachi a heartfelt message. It says, “I hope we can continue to stay close!” It falls short of being an actual confession. The funny thing is that she got the idea from watching Shaman Taoka who are asking for entries. Yes, it’s that fast, but Adachi wonders what Shimamura meant.
Either way, Adachi hugged her and slapped her on the back. Well, that startled her. Eventually she apologizes before asking to hug again. She ends up tripping and falling into Shimamura. I guess that is one way to get closer. Even so, I wonder what will happen now from the preview what looks like Tarumi confessing to Shimamura. Yes, things are about to get a bit cloudy for Adachi.
Adachi’s legend continues to grow every episode. Bless her.
Looks like Shimamura’s subconsciously feeling “more than friends” feelings for Adachi. One step closer to victory for the legend.
It would seem Tarumi is more an emotional obstacle for Shimamura than Adachi unless she eventually challenges her.
The VDay arc lived up to the hype, yes.
Definitely and may she overcome her difficulties with Tarumi being the next road block. Maybe she will stand a chance since it has been years since Shimamura and Tarumi were close. Still, how Valentine’s Day play out was nice.
