Now that we are finally in December, meaning that the year is finally coming to an end. With that, it’s time to share some brief thoughts on what I found interesting for the month.
It’s True! Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita Getting Another Anime, But What Is It?
Just recently, Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita is finally receiving another anime project. I guess this is surprising given the overall premise, although not as creepy compared to UzaMaid. While we don’t know if it’s a spinoff or a second, it’s still nice to see more antics with Mya-nee, Hana, Hinata and Noa.
What Is on My Mind
Of course, the Fall season had too many shows that I kind of fell behind with Love Live Nijigasaki and D4DJ First Mix. Yes, I typically only watch shows that I cover. As a result, the attention from the shows that I don’t cover put into the backburner.
Since I am currently covering 5 shows and writing five posts and probably one additional editorial post a week, there is no time to cover and/or watch everything. Besides, it gets a bit exhausting to keep track of these two shows that I am not covering. I thought about the idea of covering whatever episodes I watched for the month, but it’s too much of a hassle. I will eventually review them at some point. Yes, I know it’s sad that I watched the first two episode of D4DJ First Mix and not share my first impressions. Since blogging and watching anime is my hobby, I don’t want to push it too far.
That said, November in general has been a crazy month. Yes, besides the elections, which America finally gained its sanity back and not reelect the incompetent leadership for nearly 4 years, it has been a precarious one. Sadly, it seems that people are not taking Covid-19 seriously and cases are unfortunately skyrocketing into the third wave. As a result, it’s very unlikely that Japan Post will resume delivery of packages to the United States.
Recently, Japan Post resumed non-registered Air Mail. However, can you trust it with Postmaster Dejoy (I think someone should fire Dejoy and indict him) sabotaging the USPS? After all, I never got the package that they lost since early August. Also, FedEx and DHL are just too expensive to have things like music CDs, manga, etc., unless you buy multiple items. I guess I won’t be receiving my Tamaki Iroha figurine I preordered in April anytime soon.
Also, we don’t know if anime productions will see a huge delay next year due to the second wave like we had in spring and summer. I hope the anime production adjusted to the new normal. It’s already bad enough to see the number of comments I receive per month crater earlier this year. Still, I am kind of frustrated by the lack of comments on my editorial posts. I find this happen quite a lot this year, which is frustrating given how many hours I spent writing these posts.
As for the fate of me attending anime conventions. I think 2021 convention wise will pretty much be dead. Covid19 is still going to a big problem despite a vaccine coming soon. I don’t expect things starting to return to normal until late next year to sometime in 2022. This is what you get when people have quarantine fatigue, refuse to socially distance and/or wear masks. Hopefully with new leadership coming soon, maybe 2021 won’t be like 2020, but we’ll see.
Lastly, last week, I finally visited my parents during Thanksgiving. Sure, CDC strongly discourages travel, but I decided on it anyway. After all, I kind of quarantined myself as I don’t really go anywhere besides to get food. Therefore, the risks are extremely low to none since I always wear a mask, avoid crowded places, and socially distance. Also, I do not fly, which also helps. Of course, I am doing it again starting December 8th. Also, there is no gatherings whatsoever as it’s just my parents and little sister. Plus, I have to go over there and fix their Wi-Fi, again.
Not to mention, Minase Inori’s 9th single released today in Japan and I already downloaded it off Ototoy.
