As they say, is the fourth try the charm after losing three games in a row? Maybe.
After Yoshino heard Nozomi’s concerns from last time, she gives her some encouragement. With that, we see that indeed, the fourth practice game was a lot better for Yomi and her friends. The pitcher of the rival team messed up the pitching several times by having so many balls in the beginning. Nozomi got a good first hit, but unfortunately, the team catches her ball, but thankfully it slipped, so she is safe. As for Yomi, she is a pretty bad at batting. When Ibuki came along, the opposing pitcher managed to get her groove back. At least they managed to score 6 points.
Either way, it’s a good start for Yomi’s team. Still, Yomi becomes disappointed that she can’t use the magic throw. Tama won’t allow her. Besides, Yomi needs to use the other pitches and get better at them. After all, you don’t want the other team to find out about it that easily.
Even without the magic throw, Yomi’s team members manage to pull through. They didn’t allow the opposing team to get to home base. However, they had two runners hit home base in two different innings. Thankfully, in the last inning, Tama manages to break through the rival pitcher’s pitching. With Nozomi’s help, she manages to get Tama to home base.
Of course, with Tama remembering that Yomi’s birthday is coming up, she wonders what she wants. Yomi apparently wants to win this game. Tama eventually allows Yomi he to use that magic throw on the third out after two strikes. Still, it’s a nice exchange as always. I wonder what Yomi’s actual birthday present will be.
With the magic throw, Yomi’s team won. It’s nice how they partied hard by having a feast of a dinner while doing karaoke. Either way, it looks the like the summer training did wonders. Even so, they are still a long way until they can make it to nationals. Still, I wonder how they will prepare for the first summer tournament. We’ll see soon enough.
It was great seeing how much our heroines have progressed. Big win for them! Looking forward to seeing them kick butt in the Summer tournament.
As they say, training from hell goes a long way. But yes, the summer tournament should be interesting.
