Finally, the unthinkable has finally happened. Yes, Serina and Teru finally goes on a “date.” I wonder how it turned out.
I find it hilarious how Futaba’s black hole eating habits causes her to receive a rival. His name is Hajime and he knows Futaba’s name after becoming angry at her and runs away. Later on, a girl named Sasame also gets angry at Futaba for beating her older brother in an eating competition at the Stuffed Hut. I don’t care about her brother since he is there mostly for comic relief. However, I find it funny how Hajime and Sasame are alike. They both have really similar appearances despite being 1 year apart. Not only that, they become upset and run away when they see Futaba.

But aside from that, Youko manages attract a girl unintentionally. Yes, Youko wanted to ask Sasame about her grudge against Futaba. Sasame stares at Youko and becomes attracted to her. It’s obvious that Sasame prefers rich pretty young lady type of girls. This is the pairing I can get behind and not with you know who.

When Youko brings Teru and Futaba with her to meet Sasame, she becomes disappointed easily. That is when Futaba reveals that Youko is her friend. Yeah that and Futaba telling Sasame that she is still going to continue those eating challenges make the whole interaction go badly. There is no way Futaba is giving up on her eating habits. Still, I find it funny how Youko and Teru gave her blank stares at her being insensitive. Even so, I find it hilarious how restaurants banned Futaba from eating challenges. I guess her empty black hole of a stomach is too much for them.

Of course, Sasame is not giving up although she has a dilemma. What would Youko think about her stopping Futaba from doing those eating challenges? I find it hilarious how Sasame make a low effort trap to lure Futaba and stop her. Sadly, she saw through it and Youko looked down at Sasame. The funny thing is that Sasame still blame Futaba instead of becoming upset at Youko. I wonder why? Still, at least she received the best consolation prize. Being a partner with Youko during physical education.

With that, here comes the main highlight of the episode. Teru and Serina eventually meets each other at a cat café by chance. It’s obvious that they like cats. However, Serina is into it, even taking pictures with her new camera. This certainly got Teru really jealous since she really wants those photos. Eventually, Futaba gave her a ticket good for two people to go to Animal Town. With nobody available for Futaba to go with, this only leaves Serina.

It’s obvious where this is going. I find their date rather interesting. Sure, Futaba and Asako spied on their date during the whole time. Still, I find it quite amazing how Serina and Teru are enjoying themselves and apparently went to the same places. However, Teru’s façade eventually breaks as she eventually snaps. In the end, Serina became very disappointed that things didn’t work out. I guess it’s not meant to be, or is it?

Aside from that, there are other funny moments in the 8th episode. Yes, Hajime said Shamiko’s usual catchphrase after losing a eating challenge. It’s just a coincidence for sure since this manga/anime came before Machikado Mazoku, but it’s still funny. Also, there is Youko worrying about Asako possibly ending her friendship with Serina since she is texting a lot. Youko and her friends take Asako to buy a present at the bakery for Asako to make up with Serina. I find it hilarious how Shino brings out the maid outfit Serina enjoyed wearing. But in the end, it appears that Serina was just sick. Youko became super embarrassed from this mistake, which is halarious. Nevertheless, it’s a nice episode.

This leaves us with the cultural festival. I find it funny when Teru’s class went along with doing a curry café, Sonobe shows up. Yes, she appeared just to advocate the class not to make costumes and just wear school uniforms. Afterwards, she disappears. I guess she is really excited for the cultural festival. So much that she helped Youko, whose class is doing a haunted house try to make it a success. Yes, by making Youko into a convincing zombie thanks to the makeup. Yes, it worked so well that she scared crowds of people.

Also, it looks like the curry café was a success. Yes, Futaba sitting there eating is already a big advertisement. Also, I can’t believe that Teru brought Futaba to the haunted house. Of course, Sasame’s attempt to scare Futaba to get back at her failed. This is not too surprising since her reaction seems more adorable than scary.

The thing that scares Teru and Futaba is of course Youko. Still, I find it funny how Shino wearing a school uniform bring those vegetable juice Kou made scared them off too. I guess they really don’t like Kou’s juice. Despite this, it seems that Youko had a lot of fun, although she scared a lot of people.
With that, a final review is coming after I finished watching the final three episodes.
