Houkago Teibou Nisshi – Episode 3 – Hina’s First Big Catch

April 21, 2020 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Tere is no wonder why Hina unintentionally punishes Natsumi.

At last, Hina finally receives her own fishing rod. Now, the Breakwater Club are going on a fishing trip to fish for some flathead fish. Hina decides to find out what it actually looks like.

Hina is not amused at all.

It’s quite funny that Hina decides to look at what a flatfish looks like. Natsumi said that it’s a scary monster fish. When Hina looked it up on the internet, it’s just a bottom feeding fish. It’s obvious that Natsumi is trying to scare the crap out of her. It looks like Hina doesn’t seem happy that Natsumi tricked her. I guess she kind of deserve the punishment from Hina’s failed casting attempts.

Yuuki showing them the cart.

With that, the day has come and Yuuki is taking the club to Kamegahama to fish some flathead fish. I find it amusing that she brought out a metal pull cart, the Sea King. Yep, she got it from some old fishermen, and it’s filled with stickers.

It’s hilarious how Hina and Natsumi doesn’t want to be with the thing since it’s embarrassing. Then again, do they want to carry all those coolers with ice? Maybe not, especially given how far the destination is. Then again, Hina doesn’t have that much strength, so she should just use the cart.

At last, the bait is now on. Time to fish.

Eventually, they got to the location. As always, the girls’ luck is similar to most people playing Animal Crossing fishing up trash. Yes, they fish up a lot of seaweed. Still, it’s interesting how they showed how to hook the bait used specifically to lure bottom feeding fish.

It seems that Hina is not having much luck at all.

While Hina is not having much luck, I have wondered why Yuuki doesn’t seem to put much effort into fishing. We find out why. She is apparently waiting for the special catch. What catch is it? we do not know. It’s probably a fish or sea creature that fishermen and women are having trouble to catch. We’ll find out eventually after the delay.

At last, she finally caught it.

Hina eventually manages to catch the flatfish. I guess the moment of her fishing rod is really important. After getting the moments down, Hina manages to catch one. Yes, she needed help, but it’s definitely as big as Makoto described.

Yuuki shows Hina’s catch.
Hina tastes the fish and it was delicious.
Sadly, Hina is now afraid of tentacles thanks to that incident.

In the end, Hina manages to catch it. Still, it seems that she has a hard time killing the fish, but it tastes delicious. Sadly, Makoto for the special soup had to use octopus in it. I guess she is still traumatized by what happened in the first episode. Then again, who wouldn’t?

With that, this leaves us with a foreseeable delay, and we don’t know when this show will start airing. In the meantime, we will be covering some of the shows we have in the backlog. We will also be writing full reviews in addition to three episode first impressions along with other content. I hope you will keep reading for those, liking and commenting on those. Also, stay safe.

It was all an accident but Natsumi’s punishment was amusing.

As I said in ep2 I could hear Yuuki talk all day.

Makoto is very strong. I like big strong girls.

Hina’s first big catch and her unique faint were fun to watch.

I have a feeling that Natsumi really want to scare Hina, especially after being hit by her lure and that incident while trying to cast the line. I guess this didn’t work out for Natsumi as expected.

Yes, it’s surprising that Makoto is able to help prevent Hina falling into the ocean. Can’t wait to see what kind of fish she is able to catch Yes, Hina’s fainting never fails to impress.
