Iroha and Kuroe seems to have a weird dream of going to a certain city to save magical girls. They decide to find out for themselves.
Apparently, when Iroha and Kuroe is on a train, they managed to get into a witch barrier. They managed to defeat the witch and save a girl’s cat. When Iroha went home and entered her bedroom, she vaguely remembers a shadow figure. Sadly, she doesn’t know who it is. It becomes obvious towards the end.
Some things are quite different from the game and the Manga. Besides the obvious addition of Kuroe, we get a glimpse of Iroha’s school life. Not only that, Iroha’s parents went overseas before attending school.
Either way, she dozed off during class dreaming about her time making a wish with Kyubey. When she woke up, the teacher called on her and she answered wish. Whoops! Thankfully, the teacher understands her situation. It’s too bad Iroha’s classmates take advantage of her by pushing the cleaning duties on her. She is willing to do so anyway because she has nothing to do except fight witches.
The interesting thing is that instead of Iroha going to Kamihama City and facing off a familar, a witch labyrinth takes her and Kuroe there. Zambia basically defeats the witch they were fighting. Iroha eventually tries to attack it and it had no effect. A mysterious magical girl wearing blue came in and beaten it just like that. She tells Iroha and Kuroe not to return to the city after handing them the grief seeds. Kuroe mentions the rumor she saw from her dream along with Iroha asking about the little Kyubey.
Apparently during the battle, Iroha found little Kyubey and touched it. She remembered the things that she forgotten. Yes, it’s about the wish she made with Kyubey. She wanted to save her little sister, Ui from an illness. In her dream, she saw various girls trying to go to Kamihama City. However, when she sees Ui’s face, it’s still blacked out. Aside from that, it’s obvious that Iroha and Kuroe will return to Kamihama. Will she run into that magical girl again? We’ll see next time.
Going into this one my expectations were low. I haven’t played the mobile game (region locked for me sadly) so I’m going in blind, which is how I prefer it. The premiere admittedly impressed me.
Very interested to see what “Not Homura”s deal is and how she and Iroha become a couple.
Seeing a helpful Kyubey shocked me.
Lastly sensei was the best part of the episode. I DEMAND MORE OF HER! Have her be like Madoka’s Mom, another gorgeous woman.
It’s sad that it’s not available outside North America, but I was able to play the Japanese version without having to use a VPN to even download it since I use iOS opposed to Android. But compared to Madoka and Homura, Yachiyo and Iroha is a more pure Yuri pairing. It will show once they finally adapt the 6th chapter of the game.
