The day of the preliminaries have come. When Mana felt that her older sister was there, she ran off. I wonder why.
At last, Prism Stage has started with the preliminary round. Mana and her friends are now ready. However, it seems that there was a crowd around someone. It happens to be Stella Maris, a popular idol group, which Mana’s older sister, Aone is in. She eventually finds Mana and hugs her.
As you would expect, Aone is a very nice person as you would expect. She misses Mana as she hasn’t contacted her for a while. Of course, Mana introduces her to Sayu. Aone seems happy that Sayu helped her little sister to return to the stage. Sure, Sayu becomes flustered when she heard this, but it’s quite obvious when she brought Mana back to the idol dream. Still, it’s cute to see Sayu blush after Aone complimented her and say that KiRaRe are rivals of Stella Maris. Is Aone finally approving Mana’s relationship with Sayu? Either way, Aone looks forward to seeing Mana and Sayu advance to the next round.
After Aone left, Mizuha, Minori, Kae and Kasumi came to reunite with Mana and Sayu. Sayu talked about what happen to Mana. She also mentions that Mana acted strangely when Aone met her. After a while, Mana apologizes to everyone by saying that she can’t do it. She runs away as the others try to run after her. Eventually, she lost her.
You might me wondering, why Mana is upset? Sayu eventually found her on the roof. She eventually finds out the reason why Mana is upset. It’s because of the bad experiences Mana had in the past. She originally wanted to be idols with Aone and perform on the same stage together. When she entered school and visited the idol club at that school, everyone in the club seems to hate her. This happened when she started to dance. As a result, she lost the confidence in becoming an idol. This is eventually the reason she transferred out of the main campus.
This is not too surprising to see this happen since others seem envious towards her. Besides Mana being exceptionally skilled at dancing and singing, she has the charm that the others didn’t have. This is not too surprising since others are aiming for the same dream. They felt inferior to Mana after she showed off her skill and charm.
I have to admit that this kind of reminds me of Anna’s feeling of envy to Fukami in Granbelm. After all, Fukami had mage skills that Anna was lacking. The only difference is that Mana wasn’t intimidated by someone who is filled with intense envy and hatred targeting her. Thankfully. Mana was able to forget the worst memories when she met Sayu, Mizuha and the other girls.
While Mana doesn’t have the courage, Sayu finally understands how she feels. She shows her that everyone at the competition shares the same dream of becoming an idol. She also reminds her that Mana was the one wants to do this together when she joined the club. Instead, she shared that dream with everyone in the club. In other words, she made it possible for her friends become idols. With that, Sayu promises Mana that she will be by her side if she is struggling so that they can share the dream together. With that, Mana accepts as they run to the dressing room to reunite with her friends.
Now with Mana’s fears resolved, KiRaRe finally performed their song on stage. As expected, the audience seems to like their performance. With that, I wonder if they will make it to the next round next time. We’ll see soon enough.
Mana X Sayu grew stronger that day.
Kae is wonderful.
I ship Onee-chan with her serious buddy and not the self-absorbed one.
As always, Mana and Sayu is precious. Still, it’s nice that Mana’s older sister is kind and seems happy that Sayu brought Mana back. I guess that can be an approval for that pairing.
