Momo apparently caught a cold. Believe it or not, this is Shamiko’s best chance to win against her. Will she win?
Lilith enters Shamiko’s dream while she is sleeping as the reception is exceptionally good. Apparently, she wants Shamiko sneak into Momo’s consciousness and control her. Lilith handed her the mirror, which overwhelms Shamiko. Eventually, she was able to break the mirror and enter Momo’s dream.
Inside Momo dreams lies a younger, long-haired version of herself. I have to admit that she is adorable. Somehow, Momo looks depressed since she is doing a poor job of protecting the city. Also, she can’t donate any blood to Shamiko as she would lose magic.
As the liquid around her piles up, Shamiko transforms to help her remove the liquid. Afterwards, she hands Momo a bottle of Coke. Before Shamiko could brainwash her, time was already up. I guess Shamiko shouldn’t have spent all the time cleaning up Momo’s dream. Still, this is bound to happen since Shamiko cares a lot about Momo like she is her girlfriend. This becomes more obvious in the second half. Either way, it looks like Lilith’s plan failed.
As Shamiko head to school, she ran into Momo and becomes worried. Momo mentions that her dream was strange as it was bad until it improved towards the end. Also, she had the urge to drink Coke. Shamiko notices that Momo is pale with her hair unkempt before she fainted. Still, I find it funny how Momo also mentioned Shamiko’s skimpy outfit when she transformed in her dream.
At last, it becomes very obvious that Shamiko has romantic feelings for Momo. Shamiko decides to call out of school to help nurse Momo from her cold. She also takes her to her home.
I find it funny how Momo tries to hide her botched cooking of Hamburg Steak. It’s quite obvious that Momo is trying to fulfill that promise she made to Shamiko a few episodes back. Still, Shamiko eats it and she find it edible. She tells Momo not to worry about her weaknesses as she made a lot of mistakes in the past. Surprisingly, Momo compliments her efforts. Also, Momo also has a magical familiar. It’s a cat named Metako and it can talk. Sadly, it can only say one phrase due to Momo’s lack of motivation.
At last, Shamiko finally got the victory she was looking for. She found a cut on Momo’s hand while she is sleeping. Shamiko used a towel to soak the blood up while cleaning the cut before she left. When Momo woke up, she finds out that Shamiko took her blood. Of course, Shamiko ran home and put the ancestor statue up to the towel that has Momo’s blood.
It looks like Momo finally realizes what Shamiko was doing after arriving at her apartment. Sadly, it’s too late as the Ancestor’s statue took the blood. Not only that, Shamiko undone the seal and she didn’t realize it since Momo was on her mind. I find it funny that while Momo talks about the seal, Shamiko feels her forehead and still detects a fever. She also decides to feed her cold udon, which Momo finds delicious. She compliments her cooking before talking about what happened. Either way, Shamiko is now worried that Momo now knows that she stole her blood.
While the ancestor’s statue can now talk, Shamiko now has to help Momo protect the city. I liked how Momo reminds Shamiko that she borrowed her uniform and laptop. She said that while she smiled. It’s obvious that Momo got Shamiko there. Thankfully, Momo doesn’t have to worry now that Shamiko lost motivation to defeat her.
Either way, it looks like Shamiko doesn’t have a choice since without Momo, Shamiko and her family might be in danger. From this, Shamiko lost all her motivation to defeat Momo. After all, she grown even closer to her. Also, she kind of accomplished her goal of offering magical girl blood to the statue. With one of the seals undone, it’s only a matter of time until Shamiko regains the power to break the curse while helping Momo protect the city. I guess one can say that Shamiko finally fall for Momo this time as Momo steals her catchphrase. ¶
