From last time, we learn what exactly happened during the baseball game between Tsubasa’s and Ryou’s team. Maybe we will find out why Ryou seems cold towards Tsubasa.
From last time, Tsubasa’s team was losing. However, thanks to Tsubasa motivating her team members not to give up, they managed to do the impossible. Her team had a huge comeback as Ryou’s team falls apart. There is no wonder why Ryou feels so frustrated and probably jealous towards Tsubasa since she is having fun. Tsubasa manages to win while Ryou takes the game seriously and loses.
Still, I have to admit that Tsubasa’s comeback story was interesting. Sadly, she quits baseball all together since her team decided to go into a different direction. Tsubasa with Tomoe studied so they can go to the same school together. Eventually, Tomoe eventually admits that she hated baseball since she felt that she lost her friend. It’s understandable to see her feel this way because Tsubasa focused most of her time with baseball.
Now that Tomoe saw Tsubasa having fun playing baseball, she came to like it. Now, she wants to play it with her. With Tomoe’s help, Tsubasa finds the motivation to create a baseball team at her new school. From this, Nanako decides to join after feeling moved by Tsubasa’s story. With that, Tsubasa only needs only one more member.
As for Ryou, it’s obvious that she doesn’t get along with Tsubasa. With that, she doesn’t seem happy that Tsubasa and her friends showed up at the tryouts cheering her on. I can understand why since it breaks her concentration. However, she soon realizes that this is not the case.
During the tryout game, Ryou experiences the same frustrations as the tryout team as she starts having flashbacks of what happened during the semi-finals. She felt as if she will never reach her goal. With Tsubasa’s and her friend’s encouragement, Ryou was able to get back into the game and keep playing.
In the end, while Ryou didn’t pass the tryout, she finally realizes something. She shouldn’t give up even if things get rough. While she put in a lot of effort towards the bitter end, she can always learn from the tryout and learn how to become better at playing baseball. With that, it’s nice to see her willing to help Tsubasa’s team and willing to join in the end. Either way, I’m happy to see her finally defrost and willing to help Tsubasa’s efforts. Maybe this time, she will reach her goal.
I like how the show is going so far. Hope it keeps being this way.
Hope so too. Given that the team is almost put together, maybe we will see them play some games soon.
I kind of get where Tsubasa came from. Fortunately she had Tomoe there to revive her.
Shinonome’s arc was nothing new but it was nice seeing Tsubasa and the team cheering her on, thus convincing her to join them, completing the team.
Yes, it’s bound to happen since Tsubasa’s former team changed directions since they won and not going to play for fun anymore. Still, it’s quite obvious why Tomoe wants her friend to play baseball again since she knows how much her friend loves the sport.
But yes, it’s nice to see Ryou finally defrost. I guess taking the sport too seriously didn’t help and she realizes that after the girls cheer her on.
