Now that Tsubasa finally have enough members to form a club, she is still short on members. Surprisingly, she found three more members that she was looking for.
At last, it seems that Tsubasa’s baseball team is coming together. Surprisingly, it seems that three other girls are possibly interested in joining. This includes Iwaki Yoshimi, an energetic second year cheerleading squad leader. Next is Asada Aoi, who is the best gambler in the school. While celebrating with dinner at a restaurant after two members joined, Suzuki finds Nakano reading a newspaper. She seems interested in writing about high school girls’ baseball teams.
We find out there is no girls’ baseball teams on a high school level from Nakano until recently. Surprisingly, there are all girls’ team in middle school and college. Now that there is an idea of holding a national tournament for high school girls has caused a boom of high school girl baseball teams. This sounds awfully familiar to the girls’ band boom in Bang Dream anime. Either way, this can explain why Nakano wants to cover it to spread the idea even further. It’s obvious that Tsubasa also shares the same passion for it too.
The girls eventually practice at the batting cages. From there, Tsubasa eventually notices someone she knew and decided to bat next to her. Afterwards, that said girl, Shinonome Ryou doesn’t seem happy that Tsubasa is treating baseball like a game and pretended not to know her. It’s obvious that Ryou isn’t going to join Tsubasa’s club mostly because she doesn’t want to play with a bunch of newbies.
What I find interesting about their relationship is that Tsubasa actually faced against Ryou before. During the little league in semifinals, the team Tsubasa faced against Ryou’s team. Of course, Tsubasa’s team was losing badly.
Either way, this can explain why Ryou seems to have bitter towards her. Maybe it’s because she believes that Tsubasa is wasting her potential by forming her own team full of newbies. Either way, we won’t know for sure. Regardless, I have a feeling that Ryou will eventually defrost and give in if she can’t get on a club team. After all, she is seen in the show’s opening theme.
Hope the show keep it’s smooth sailing.
From the looks of it, I think it will be better than expected given that there is no signs of a male coach showing up and it seems that Suzuki might be taking that role. But either way, it should be interesting how the rest of the team comes together in the end.
