Last time, Bocchi finally made friends with Nako despite having some trouble. However, Nako became angry for some reason and Bocchi wonders why.
I have to admit that Nako’s pouty expressions kind of look cute. Either way, Bocchi seems worried when Nako revealed that she is mad at her. Honsou Aru, the vice president of the student council decides to help Bocchi out. This is when Bocchi told what happened.
It’s obvious that she wanted to get closer to Nako. She read a book the night before suggesting that she should ask about a friend’s worries to get closer. Eventually, Nako takes Bocchi around to explore the school. I find it funny how Nako tricks Bocchi into thinking something is behind her or that a bathroom has something suspicious. Also, Bocchi playing the recorder badly while going into the girls’ bathroom adds more to the hilariousness. It’s obvious that Bocchi is fairly gullible and believes everything that Nako says.
This is surprisingly not the thing that made Nako angry. It’s Bocchi mentioning the promise that she made with Kai about making friends with the whole class. I can understand why Nako would be upset. She thinks that Bocchi is not actually her friend since she is doing it to become friends with Kai again. Still, I wonder why Bocchi haven’t given up on Kai for doing that. It’s obvious that she can make better friends and she doesn’t need friends like her.
Thankfully, after Bocchi gives some déjà vu to Nako, she doesn’t seem angry anymore. Still, it’s funny how Bocchi apologizes while wearing her gym clothes. Not only that, her apology feels more like a love confession. Either way, at least Bocchi’s efforts don’t go to waste.
As for the next girl Bocchi wants to make friends is with Aru. I find it funny how Nako pokes fun at Aru for being an unfortunate girl. I have to admit that I kind of felt sympathetic towards Aru. Not only she was almost late to school, she forgot to take the hanger off the sweater she is wearing. To make things worse, she is wearing the wrong underwear and only got vice president position in the student council. Still, I find it funny when she calls herself stupid before bumping her head with another student’s.
In the end, Bocchi really wants to become friends with Aru. It seems that she is mad since Nako, Bocchi’s friend made fun of her. While Aru doesn’t believe it, Bocchi tells her she was the one that allowed her to make up with Nako. After she tells Aru that she really wants to become friends regardless of the promise, she agrees to do so. While Nako still calls Aru unfortunate, at least Bocchi now have two friends, leaving her with 26 more to go.
Best show of this season, that is by far one of the worst season after so long, kept being as cute as ever! Thanks for the review.
I guess it can’t be helped given the small number of shows to work with. Even so, this show is very enjoyable so far and of course, Bocchi is precious.
