If you recall, Kanon and Kayori really wants to see Hinata’s older sister, Miyako. Can Miyako live up to their absurdly high expectations?
This time, Hinata, Hana, Noa, Kanon and Kayori are making cookies together in a home recreation class. I wonder why Kayori becomes upset every time anyone depends on Kanon. This is apparent with Kayori confusing sugar with salt. Of course, Kanon denies this as she says that she relies on Kayori. Still, Kayori insists in being the leader. Despite this, her group members still rely on Kanon.
In short, Kayori decides to make her own cookies with Hana to her dismay. As expected, they didn’t turn out well since they look really burnt. Even so, Hana seems to prefer the cookies Hinata, Noa and Kanon made. I don’t blame her given how clumsy Kayori is. Still, I wonder if Miyako will eat the burnt cookies that Kayori and Hana made.
It’s obvious by now that Hinata mentions her older sister quite a lot. As a result, her classmates spread rumors that Miyako is this amazing older sister. This doesn’t come at a surprise since Kayori and Kanon looks up to her. Kanon believes that Miyako is athletic, has a lot of friends, good at academics, and work as a model. While it’s somewhat believable that Miyako is good at academics considering how shy she is, the other aspects, not so much.
I find it funny how Noa tries to help Miyako live up to the image of herself that Kayori and Kanon believes. Yes, it involves dressing Miyako up in fancy cosplay. As expected, Kanon’s and Kayori’s reactions when they saw Miyako is predictable. Miyako looks pretty and almost matches the rumors Kanon heard. Of course, Miyako’s shyness starts to show a lot and she couldn’t live up to their unrealistic image of herself. I find it funny how Noa, Hinata and Hana ignored her as Miyako suffers from her nervousness.
Eventually, Miyako tells the truth. Thankfully, Kanon and Kayori was understanding and willing to become friends with her. After all, Kanon now thinks that Miyako is a kinder and better older sister than what rumors said. At least Miyako doesn’t have to fear the repercussions about not living up to those unrealistic rumors. Still, I have to admit that Miyako looks really pretty in the cosplay she wore along with that hair style. It looked like she was the ideal older sister despite her timid personality.
In the end, Miyako goes back to her usual self as she takes pictures of Hana, Noa and Kayori while they wore cosplay. I find it funny how Kanon reacts to this as she steps back with her eyes close while smiling. I guess she really doesn’t want to get dragged into this cosplay stuff.
In the last segment, we out the reason why everyone goes to Kanon opposed to Kayori. If Kayori’s cooking doesn’t indicate this already, the truth is that she is really clumsy. I find it funny how she trips, which causes all the handouts to fly out of the window.
While Kayori cooks up the idea of tying Kanon’s wrists together so people can go to her instead, it worked too well. I find it hilarious how Kayori made the knot impossible to untie. It took her some time, but Kayori manages to undo it despite getting wet. This is not surprising since after all, Kayori manages to get Kanon’s balloon that got stuck in a tree during their time in elementary school. If the last episode wasn’t enough, this bring home the point that Kanon and Kayori is meant for each other.
Aside from that, it looks like Miyako has to go to her college campus. This makes me wonder if she takes courses online and just go on campus to take tests. Either way, we will find out the reason next time.
Hinata is best kid but Koyori and Kanon are best couple.
Agreed. It’s nice to see more Kanon and Kayori moments in this episode.
