Anima Yell! – Episode 6 – Kotetsu’s First Exciting Cheer

November 11, 2018 by Chikorita157 4 Comments
Kohane in her dream land.

Apparently, someone invited the Cheer Association on perform at the opening ceremony at a local festival. How will Kotetsu, the new addition to the team will fare?

It seems the Cheer Association have another opportunity to perform. Yes, it’s probably thanks to the basketball team captain and Kohane thanking her for the meal. Still, it’s nice to see how the girls learn how to do a stunt with the girls hold up Kohane. This is not surprising since Kohane wants to do them despite her fear of heights. I have a feeling that she is getting herself into something that will get her into trouble.

The girls mostly got the double base thigh stand stunt right on the first try, besides Uki messing up.

This particular stunt is a double base thigh stand where two girls hold up someone from the feet. Someone in the back supports the girl who is standing from the back. While it took a couple of tries, the girls eventually got it right for the actual performance.

As always, I find it funny how Hizume goes into despair over Kohane possibly injuring herself, get sent to the hospital and the Cheer Association possibly disbanding, thus she will become lonely again. At this point, Hizume fear of losing Kohane and the Cheer Association and becoming lonely is a running gag.

Sadly, Inukai dreads the idea of wearing a cheerleading outfit. Still, I am curious how she would look in one.

Aside from practicing the dance routines, the big day finally came. I find it funny how Kohane really doesn’t want to make it rain and resort to making Teru Teru Bozu. Most of the time, they don’t work. Somehow, the forecast changed and it didn’t rain when the big day came. I think this is just a coincidence rather than the effect from the Teru Teru Bozu.

Kohane got too excited about their second performance that she forgot that she is wearing the cheerleading uniform already.

I find it funny when Kohane, Uki, Hizume and Kotetsu change into their cheerleading outfit, Kohane couldn’t find it. She soon realizes that she was wearing it all along. Also, when Kohane ask Inukai to join, she doesn’t want to. Apparently, she doesn’t like the idea of wearing a cheerleading uniform. Still, I am quite curious how she would look like in one though.

Kohane cheering Kotetsu up while giving good advice.

While the dress rehearsal went well, it seems that Kotetsu became nervous and thinking she messed up. It’s understandable since at one point of our lives, we have to give a performance or a speech in front of a crowd and experience the feeling of nervousness. After all, he or she wants to give the audience a good impression.

It’s understandable why one would be afraid of messing up. However, this doesn’t mean that he or she ruined the performance. It’s nice to see Kohane reassure Kotetsu that they are cheering together for the first time and she shouldn’t worry about messing up. In other words, she is saying that Kotetsu shouldn’t worry too much and just have fun cheering to others.

Kotetsu has a nice smile.

In the end, the actual performance turned out well in the end from Kotetsu’s point of view. When she hears other girls becoming upset over their performances, it gives Kotetsu a sigh of relief that she wasn’t the only one. Still, it seems that the pink-haired girl who is in disguise saw the performance. She is the same girl that saw the basketball game in the fourth episode. I have a feeling that she will join very soon.

Kotetsu remembered she wans’t alone and her teammates were there to help.

Arima’s droopy expression brings me unbridled joy every time. She also knows what Uki wants. Very good.

Still waiting on the redhead’s proper introduction.

As expected given that they are in it together. But still, Hizume really knows how to convince others to do something she wants.

Hopefully, the red hair girl will join soon so the association can become a club.

Hizume knows how to motivate Uki.

It sounds like the ghost of the music room is getting lonely now that Kotetsu joined the chair association. Hopefully she gets some company soon.

      Agreed.

It’s not too surprising given that Kotetsu isn’t practicing as much since she is focusing more on cheerleading.
