This time, Sakura and Syaoran faces off the opposite of the Aqua card, the fire bird.
During lunch, her friends talk about Rika, whom Akiho received the book from. Apparently, the book she is given is the one that she doesn’t have yet. The girls eventually mentioned about the cakes moving and becoming sleepy shortly afterwards. Sakura shared what happened when she gave the cake to Syaoran that she wanted to design after Syaoran’s costume. Sadly, it didn’t come out as she hoped. Either way, he seems to like it. Shortly after, Sakura spaced out and saw the clock dream again. Thankfully, it wasn’t long and she didn’t tell anyone.
During the evening, Akiho tries to put the book on the shelf. Kaito notices that Akiho is down. This is when Akiho saw the clock dream and mentions it to Kaito. Afterwards, they had dinner.
As for the card battle, Tomoyo records Sakura and Syaoran as they capture the fire bird card. While Sakura used Aqua, it fought with the fire bird. Eventually, the fire bird defeats Aqua after a heated battle. Afterwards, Syaoran uses his wind magic, which allows him to restrain it. Meanwhile, Sakura used the Flight card to get up in the sky and capture the fire bird, which is the Blaze card.
While Sakura is out, Touya went into Sakura’s room while studying with Yuki and notices that Sakura is missing. Yuki transforms and asks him what he will use his powers for. Touya won’t tell, but he will reveal it when the time comes.
As expected, we learn more about the mysterious book from Akiho’s interest towards certain books. It seems that she has a strange interest in the Alice books. The clock book is apparently titled Alice in Clock Land. Given in the previous episode, it did hint some of the events that Sakura experienced, especially with her friends turning into animals. This book is in no doubt important since it will reveal what will happen next. I am guessing that Kaito is trying to save Akiho, which is probably why he needs the cards. Given what happened last episode, this might be the case.
On the other hand, while it’s funny to see Sakura’s friends mentioning the craziness during the cooking class. I have to admit that seeing Sakura’s reactions when her friends mentions it is hilarious. It makes it seem that she caused the craziness during class. Thankfully, her friends didn’t think much of it.
As for this card battle, it’s nice to see Aqua fight off against the Blaze card in an epic battle. It makes it kind of seem like a Kaijyu fight. Either way, it’s nice to see Syaoran helping Sakura out with capturing the card.
With that, it seems that we are getting closer to the big reveal. Now that Sakura saw the clock dream while looking at Akiho during lunch, it might give some hint who is the masked figure. While we don’t know for sure, it’s becoming obvious that Akiho might be the masked figure. Still, I wonder why she is in that place? Does it have to do with Kaito’s big plan? We will find out soon enough.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the elephant in the room. How is Syaoran using the sprites of the original Clow Cards? His attack was clearly based on Windy, and looking back at his previous interventions, he already used Time and Fiery. The plot just thickened…
Thanks for pointing this out. Also, it’s interesting how the Clear Cards are simular to the Crow Cards. It have been touched on awhile back and also the Stuggle card being almost the same as The Fight card. It should be interesting to see what Kaito intends to use these cards for.
