After Sakura finished her cheerleading practice, she saw someone familiar waiting for her. Guess who it is?
At last, Meiling finally comes to visit Japan once more. As expected, she is adorable. Aside from reuniting with her classmates, she sees Akiho for the first time. Akiho introduces herself to her. Either way, I thought that she will come during summer break, but it seems that she came earlier. As expected, Syaoran is surprised.
With that, she decides to stay at Sakura’s place. Meiling also talked with Sakura’s father for a bit as well. Also, Sakura cooked gyoza with Meiling and talked about Syaoran. The funny thing is that Kero disses Meiling and she takes the gyoza that he tries to eat. Yep, he didn’t get much to eat that night. We also learn why Syaoran wants to go back to live in Japan so badly. Meiling also asks if Sakura will grow her hair out and revealing that Syaoran have no hair preferences.
Meanwhile, we learn that when Sakura’s older brother preparing for an exam with Yukito. Yuki transforms. He reveals that Touya have new powers that are gradually coming back. What they are is still a mystery since he won’t reveal them to Sakura. We have to find out later on, maybe in the last half of the season.
Aside from that, it’s a nice slice of life episode with Meiling making a return, temporarily. The funny thing is that Sakura thought she was seeing cat ears and a tail on Meiling. Of course, Meiling can’t find any cat ears or tail on her.
The funny thing is that Akiho is reading the weird-looking book again. She reading a story about Alice seeing cat ears and tail grow on a girl, and tries to tell everyone, but they disappear. It makes me wonder if that book is behind the Clear Cards? One can wonder as the cat ears and tail is the subject of next week’s episode.
I thought the neatest part about the episode, besides Meiling returning, were the attempts at speaking Cantonese by Meilin and also in her texts to Syaoran. I don’t need subs to watch anime anymore, but I definitely needs subs for those! lol
Yep, it’s surprising to see her say actual Cantonese in the episode. Despite being Chinese myself, I do not understand it. Still, it’s interesting how she texts Syaoran in Chinese despite knowing how to speak Japanese.
Still watching with subs since my listening comprehension of Japanese is not good enough yet. Maybe someday.
