At last, Sakura goes on a date with Syaoran. How will it turn out?
We saw it coming last time. Sakura asked Syaoran on a date and he accepted. This time, they went to an aquarium where she captured Watery. I have to admit that it’s cute to see them blush several times. This is specially the case when Sakura mentions that her father said she should give the tickets to someone she likes. Both Sakura and Syaoran blushes and a young boy mentions that after seeing them. The boy’s mother mentioned that the two must like each other a lot.
Aside from that, Syaoran shows off his English-speaking skills. This is when he helped a foreign couple guide them to the penguin show. Also, he also mentioned time when a jellyfish stung Meiling while looking at Jellyfish with Sakura. The funny thing is that Meiling knew that Syaoran and Sakura is on a date. She sent a text to Syaoran mentioning this. It makes me wonder if she has psychic powers.
Either way, Sakura and Syaoran eventually went to the café. Apparently, Sakura’s older brother was there working as a waiter. Shortly after, glass broke and water started pouring out of the tank. However, something is grabbing one of Sakura’s legs. Thankfully, Sakura’s older brother is able to drain the water on time.
I have to admit that it’s sad that Sakura’s date with Syaoran gets ruined by a mysterious force. It seems that the water from the tank ruined the lunch Sakura plan to eat with Syaoran. Hopefully, Sakura will make this up someday.
Of course, the second half makes up for Sakura’s disappointment. The second half brings back the nostalgia with familiar outfits. Tomoyo made a very similar outfit that Sakura wore when she captured Watery. Of course, Syaoran is not off the hook as Tomoyo made a ceremonial outfit for him too. It’s obvious that Tomoyo is having a field day with this.
After Sakura, Syaoran, and Tomoyo successfully sneaked into the aquarium, they confront the card. The card won’t give up without a fight as it chases after Sakura. It even shatters a window while Sakura escapes. Of course, the only thing that stopped it is Syaoran remembering how Sakura stopped watery. He uses his ice magic to freeze it. Sakura is able to capture it, making it the tenth card, which is Spiral. This can explain why it shattered the glass and grabbed on Sakura’s leg.
Either way, it’s a fun and cute episode. It’s nice to see Syaoran joining on the action since he didn’t do much during the Clear Card arc. Obviously, Tomoyo captured all of the action thanks to her new and improved drone. Hopefully next time, a card won’t ruin Sakura’s date with Syaoran. With that, the next episode will focus on Akiho falling asleep for some reason. Is this the work of a card? We’ll find out next time.
