As expected, the magical girl battle royal gets nastier as Swim Swim challenge Cranberry.
Updates
I will be doing impressions for Stella no Mahou, Mahou Shojou Ikusei Keikaku and Show by Rock 2 in one post each week. This is because I want to transition away from regular episodic posts due to lack of comments I am receiving, which is hurting my motivation to blog. Yes, it’s still frustrating, hopefully this shift will reverse this trend.
Also, we are now on Discord. Anyone is free to use this server to discuss about anime, video games and such. Note that the commenting policy applies to the Discord server.
Stella no Mahou – Episode 9
It seems that Tamaki feels bothered by how inferior her drawing compared to Minaha last time. She fears that her friends will abandon her. Still, it’s a good thing that Minaha decides to help her with the digital coloring. Hopefully, Tama will get better after practicing more and not merely using other manga to copy the style from. Even so, I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to skip studying just to accomplish it.
Aside from that, it’s funny how Ayane acts like Iris when she took off the glasses. It seems that it worked since Minaha finally joins the flub for real. It’s probably because the girls are planning to make a visual novel adaptation of one of Ayane’s stories. Either way, Ayane is definitely terrified by this decision understandably.
Mahou Shoujou Ikusei Keikaku – Episode 10
As predicted last time, Swim Swim kills Hardgore Alice after she ambushed her. What was interesting is Koyuki’s interaction with Alice before the incident and after. It seems that Koyuki became upset by her remarks that she doesn’t want Alice to follow her.
On the blink of death, it seems that Alice was the girl Koyuki helped turn the keys to. This pretty much explains everything. Either way, Alice wants Koyuki to live on. This will possibly cause Koyuki to start becoming an anti-hero and take out any magical girls who are bad. Maybe she will team up with Ripple for the same reason. Still, it’s sad to see Alice go. She didn’t deserve this fate given how kind she actually is.
Meanwhile, Swim Swim finally plan their ambush on Cranberry. Yes, Cranberry is responsible for turning the game into a killing one. It makes me wonder how their ambush will turn out.
On the other hand, there is some good news. Either way, Minael finally receives the punishment she deserves. Cranberry saw through her disguise and killed her. I have to admit that I am glad to see the annoying twins eliminated.
Show by Rock 2 – Episode 10
This episode finally gives a big twist. The suspicious manager reveals her true identity as the darkness queen. In other words, Aireen wasn’t the darkness queen. In short, she defeated the monster Dagger transformed Aireen and her maids into and fled. This gives us a big change of events with Maple and Dagger creating a truce with each other. This is surprising since I didn’t expect them to do that.
Aside from that, Aireen reveals her back story about her relationship with her older brother, Aion. It’s surprising that Aireen is Aion’s younger sister. Apparently, their father kicked Aion out of the house since he couldn’t live up to his father’s role of becoming an heir. Instead, he took on the life of music. There is no wonder Aireen grown to hate music. The irony is that before Aion got kicked out, she loved music and looked up to him. She realizes this after listening to the CD containing songs Aion’s band created.
At the end, I am glad that Aion and Aireen finally made up with each other. She smiled to Aion as she goes back home to convince her parents. It’s obvious that she loves music again, which is a good thing. Either way, hopefully the bands will defeat the darkness queen next time.
The manager being Queen Victorious in disguise kinda surprised me. In fact, so did Aion and Ailane being siblings. I mean, these things should have been obvious but they didn’t cross my mind. Oh well.
Ailane had good reason to hate music. I’m glad the two patched things up. Happy Ailane is cute Ailane.
I predict BVL will play a HUGE role in the final battle. Ailane will be the MVP of that fight. I could be wrong but wouldn’t it be awesome if she were the MVP? Poetic justice!
It’s surprising too since the 1st episode make us believe that Ailane was the darkness queen. It seems that Dagger is up to his old tricks and had nothing to do with the mission Cyan is set out to do.
But yes, Ailane is surprisingly cute, especially after making up to Aion.
