The band members are happy now that Kitauji High School received gold and a slot in nationals. However, there is some trouble brewing with Kumiko’s older sister along with Taki revealing more about his wife.
I have to say the school festival part was fun. It seems that the band got to perform at the festival. Of course, Kumiko’s class did a maid café. It looks like Kumiko and her friends had a hard time getting customers, although Kumiko looked cute in her outfit. Kumiko and Reina also visited a crape café where Natsuki served special strawberry crape to her, which is cute. Kumiko also visited Asuka’s fortune telling booth and Reina’s class haunted house. I have to admit that there were funny moments, especially when Reina scared Kumiko and Suichi. It’s funny how Reina can give them a big scare like that.
Aside from that, it seems that there is a typhoon that made landfall. Kumiko had a day off and listens in to her older sister arguing over quitting college. It makes me wonder why she feels this way. After all, she was the one that pressured Kumiko to give up music for studies. Thankfully, Kumiko didn’t get into another fight and took a walk in the rain.
Remember what Hashimoto revealed about Taki’s wife a few episodes back? Kumiko happened to meet Taki at a flower shop and saw that he wore a wedding ring. While we already know that Taki has a wife, he reveals that she attended Kitauji High School. During her time, her band didn’t get gold. She wanted to become a teacher to get her band win gold at nationals, but she passed away.
While it’s obvious that she bought the flowers to put at her grave, it’s obvious that Taki wants to fulfill her dream of his deceased wife. Still, there are some things we don’t know about his wife. Either way, it makes me wonder when Kumiko will tell Reina the truth. It’s only a matter of time.
