Tama have just entered high school and tries to find her passion. However, there is a club that intrigues her at an event.
At a glance, it seems that this show feels like a high school version of New Game or Shirobako. While Tama and Yumine looks for a club to join, they stumbled on a doujin club, SNS in short. She meets Murakami Shiina (programmer and president) and Seki Ayane (storywriter). They look tired given that they worked overnight to fix any bugs before they presented it. At least they were happy that the game didn’t crash as Yumine and Tama played it.
Tama became intrigued by the club that makes homemade games after playing a demo. After reminiscing all the hobbies and activities she quit half way, she decides to give it a try. She joins as an illustrator after showing them her drawing. Shiina and Ayane should be happy that a cute freshman finally joined their club. I would.
Aside from introducing themselves along with Fujikawa Kayo (music), they explain what they do. While the name for their club is very long, it seems that they are back to square one. Given that their founder illustrator that did everything, including the illustration graduated, they have to start over. As a result, they decided to work on a simpler project or rather a visual novel to start. It’s not so surprising since the girls are still amateurs. Their goal is to have the game done before Natsukomi, an event they can sell their game at.
Will Tama illustration skills will be good enough since she has to come up with the character designs, backgrounds and such? It seems that she managed to replicate the style of the previous illustrator. Sadly, she is embarrassed by the drawings she drew in the second half the notebook. At the same time, it seems that Ayane is not willing to share what she is working on, especially her pass works. I wonder what is she hiding.
Although Shiina leaked a small part of Ayane’s writing, Tama accidentally got one of Ayane’s notebook. Ayane apparently dropped it and of course Tama read it. Even so, it seems that Tama is still nervous about sharing the drawings, so she had Yumine do it. It seems that Yumine doesn’t like how Kayo laughed at Tama’s drawing.
In the end, Tama’s drawings satisfied them despite Kayo laughing at it. Hopefully with Yumine helping Tama and vice versa will help Tama improve her skills. Still, it’s hilarious seeing Yumine run out the room after coming to a realization of Tama drawing yaoi. I never expected Yumine to have an interest in yaoi, but it’s okay. Also, it’s funny that Kayo also works at a restaurant. Her club members know since they did their planning there. They managed to kick out by Kayo for being too noisy. In short, it’s a cute show and I can’t wait to see more as the girls continue to work on their next game.
