Summer is finally coming to an end soon. Now, It’s time to take a look at what shows I plan to watch along with the state of this blog.
Hibike! Euphonium Second Season
Studio: Kyoto Animation
While a recap movie got released early this year, the sequel is probably what most people look forward to. I have to admit that the first season was very enjoyable, especially with the development between Reina and Kumiko. Given that I played an instrument in the school’s concert band, the show was very relatable.
Aside from that, I look forward to see the concert band make it further to making their dream become true. Will the relationship between Reina and Kumiko develop further? We’ll see.
Show by Rock 2
Studio: Bones
You might be wondering, why am I watching this if I haven’t watched the prequel first? I thought about watching it since the premise looks interesting, but I didn’t since I was covering too many shows at the time. I plan on watching all the episodes soon, hopefully before the sequel airs.
The show is loosely based off a mobile game that focuses on a first-year high school student, Hijirikawa Cyan. She wants to join a music club, but too shy to do so. Eventually, she gets suck into another world after receiving “Strawberry Heart” and turns into a cat girl. She meets a band, Plasmagica, thus giving her opportunity to fulfill her dream. The second season is basically continuing where it left off.
Aside from these two shows, I am on the fence on Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku, Idol Memories and other similar shows. We’ll see when initial impressions if it’s worth my time watching them. As always, this list is subject to change.
Site Updates
Yes, 2016 has been an unlucky year for me. I have recently forced to quit my job. The job wasn’t a good fit along with other things I would rather keep private. As a result, it has been a very rough two weeks since I have been depressed about it. To make matters worse, I had nobody to talk to for several days. This is the first time I lost my job and it was disheartening. However, dwelling on the past won’t help. Not to mention, it is unhealthy.
In short, I need to move on and not make the same mistakes again. Hopefully the next job will be better and come around quickly. Thankfully, my parents are willing to help me out until I get back on my feet.
Aside from the games I preordered before this happened (Atelier Firis, Yoru no Nai Kuni II, Pokemon Sun/Moon and New Game! The Challenge Stage), I won’t be getting any more games until further notice. This includes buying Anime CDs and merchandise. It’s not just because my backlog is huge, but mostly for financial reasons. I will only be using the money to keep this blog running since it’s something that will keep me busy. Also, the social aspect will definitely help during these difficult times. In short, I encourage people to comment on my posts if possible.
This will certainly impact future plans since I need to build a larger emergency saving (at least 6 months) before I think about spending money. While I had the idea of opening a Patreon for this blog, I can’t do that since I will receive unemployment compensation. I will probably float around the idea once I start working again. Since I have work experience now. I am hopeful that I will get another job soon.
With that, what shows are you planning to watch this fall? Feel free to share.
