It seems that Ruby heard some bad news. Is this the biggest opportunity Chika was waiting for to get the final three members on board?
It seems that Ruby overheard Dia and Mari talking about the future of their school. From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem pretty since enrollment is declining. This can explain why Mari returned and approved the School Idol club without question. Even so, it seems that Dia still wants to do things her own way and doesn’t want to do the School Idol thing. I have a feeling that she will eventually cave and it’s only a matter of time until it happens.
Meanwhile, Chika seems excited for some reason about the news since they can become like Muse and save their own school. I am afraid that this would happen since I have a feeling that Chika will imitate everything Muse does. This will make it seem that they haven’t learned their lesson last time. Copying Muse will only cause Aquors to become overshadowed. Hopefully they won’t go down that route.
Aside from that, Chika decides to create a promotional video to attract more potential applicants. As expected, it won’t be easy given that they are in a rural town where there is not much excitement. While there were some funny moments, it seems that Mari was not impressed by their first attempt at all. This means that they have to go back to the drawing board.
It’s obvious that Chika loves the school she is attending that she doesn’t want to give it up. This eventually lead to her asking other students at a morning cleanup event for help. It looks like they were able to do that as they perform a song for a promotional video. I have a feeling that this second attempt will be a success given the amount of effort they put into it.
Aside from that, it seems obvious why Dia hates School Idols now. From a flashback, she started a unit with Kanan and Mari. However, she was heavily disappointed that nobody shown up for their performance. Maybe she set expectations way too high? Maybe. Either way, she can’t run away from the past forever because deep inside, she wants to live that dream. They can only be school idols during their grade school years. In other words, she has to act quickly before that opportunity is gone forever.
Eh. The recycling thing is more a nuisance than a reason to murder puppies like diehard fans of anything are known to do.
I look forward to learning more about the 3rd years’ rocky disband.
Yohane is glorious. Zuramaru and Ruby aren’t far behind in terms of greatness. Dare I say the first years are currently the show stealers but we both know that will change once The Perfect One finally joins the party. Perfection will then reign supreme. I can smell it.
Chika’s frozen expression in that first image was hilarious.
I kind of wanted a different story line, but I don’t mind. Idolmaster CG had some similarities to reusing some aspects of the main Idolmaster anime, so it’s bound to happen. As long the group develops in their own unique way, I don’t have a problem with that.
Still, the girls are enjoyable, especially Yoshiko who never fails to impress. Can’t wait to see the third years join sooner than later.
