With the game of tag is coming to a close, will Hibari and her friends avoid the worst possible outcome?
It looks like the worst possible outcome became reality. I thought they would have thought the four-leaf clover team would have an upper hand. Sure, Ren and Hibiki got caught early on, but they managed to escape. Sadly, it seems that Anne managed to cause a big hole to form while she tried to retrieve her wood sculpture from a tree. Yep, Hibari, Botan, Hibiki and Ren came to rescue her, but that was not enough. It seems that Anne’s bad luck struck at the worst possible time right before they were about to win. Still, it’s funny that a bunch of female animals picked a fight with mini-Timothys.
In short, Kodaria had to save them from falling into the hole or rather, the lava. This means that Kodaria caught all of them, which means that the girls have to sleep outside despite having all their sculptures. At least they got a consolation prize of having a hot spring made for them.
Either way, it seems that they enjoyed themselves putting the tent and cooking dinner together. Yes, they created more memories camping out compared to if they won. In short, their friendship made the best out of an unfortunate situation.
Final Impressions
I have to admit that I really enjoyed this show. The girls are very enjoyable and cute at the same time. Sure, while it’s easy to sympathize with them, especially Botan who manages to injure herself a couple of times. Sure, it’s funny to see how unfortunate Anne is, but she is also adorable at the same time and brings energy to the group. It shows that friendship is powerful despite the girls being unfortunate.
While the activities that Kodaria plans can be downright cruel, it’s funny to see how they play out. Perhaps the dueling game during the midterm exams is probably the funniest episode. Still, the rest of the episodes are still fun and heartwarming as well. Also, I enjoyed the pairing potential, which is strong with Ren and Hibiki obviously. While it appears that Hibiki got a bit closer, it seems that she still has a long way. Aside from that, it’s nice to see some Hibari and Botan/Anne moments as well.
As a whole, the production values are surprisingly good and I wouldn’t mind another season. I wish they would have shown more of the twin-tailed girl, which is most likely Botan’s little sister that she hinted a few episodes back. It’s quite obvious that girl is controlling the robots while seeing how unfortunate the girls are.
Season 2 when? SEASON 2 WHEN!? That is all I have to say. The rest of my thoughts you know where to find them but in short I loved this show quite a bit…and of course Botan is love, Botan is life.
I hope there is one in the future as I want to see the girls get over their their traits that make them unfortunate. Still, I agree that Botan is the best girl aside from Hibiki and the others.
