It seems that Hanako has the worst luck that it even rains on her.
I have to admit that this episode pretty much sums up this month. Recent blog woes aside (it has been bad just like the weather), May is usually sunny and warm as the season transitions to summer. Sadly, the weather feels somewhat like this episode with most of the month being rainy and of course cooler than usual on the east coast and it’s not going to let up until middle of next week.
With that in mind, it seems that Hanako has the worst kind of luck like in previous episodes. Not only she is soaking wet after falling in a river while having heavy rainfall on her, she also catches a cold. In short, Botan and Hibari eventually buys presents for her, sort of. Still, I have to admit that the dress that caught Hibari’s eye definitely looks cute on her. I thought it would look good on Botan too, but of course her self-depreciation settles in. Still, it’s funny that Botan stocked up on Sake Power energy drink since she needs a lot to keep going.
When they head to Anne’s house, It’s funny how ominous her house is. While her mother, Sakura looks more like an older sister than a mother, it’s sad that she is just as unlucky like her daughter. It seems that the clumsiness, being born unlucky and animals disliking them runs in the family. From the looks of it, Sakura was placed in the same class and it seems that she is still somewhat unfortunate given her clumsiness, but probably not at epic levels like Anne is.
While it’s fun to see Hibari, Botan and Anne try different hair styles, it seems that they haven’t finished their assignment yet, which is to make their wishes become true. Yep, it seems ridiculous, but it works in their favor as Ren comes up the idea to make teru teru bouzu, those paper dolls that look like ghosts that wishes the rain away but don’t work most of the time.
I have to admit that the creations that Ren and Botan made look like monsters than a typical teru teru bouzu. Still, it’s cute that Hibari made one that resembles Anne using a handkerchief. Of course, Ren made Timothy into one too, which is hilarious and she forced him to stay put overnight. He probably wishes that Anne will return after going through this.
Yep I would never have thought that it will happen, but it did. The rain went away and Anne maliciously gotten over her cold. In short, the girls finished their assignment with a happy ending. Still, I wonder what an exam on happiness will be? Did any of the classmates made any progress? We’ll find out soon enough.
Botan shined brighter than ever this week and it was spectacular.
Anne’s at her best when smiling. Her okaa-nee-san is an interesting human.
Ren’s TTB was best TTB.
I bet it was those energy drinks helped keep her awake, but I’m glad that she didn’t faint or got injured in this episode, which shows that she is making progress in improving her health with the training.
But yes, it’s sad to see Anne so sad, but I’m glad that she is happy once again. Also her mother looks fun as well.
