Since Winter is finally coming to an end, it’s time to take a look of some of the shows I plan on watching next season while sharing some future plans and what I have been up to lately.
Pan de Peace
Airdate: April 4th, 2016
Studio: Asahi Production
As the title suggests, this show is basically a slice of life show about cute girls making bread. Given the title, hopefully this show will have enjoyable moments of girls making and baking stuff and become an ultimate anime about bread rather than become another Shining Hearts where bread becomes a drug.
Hai-furi
Airdate: April 9th, 2016
Studio: Production IMS
From the looks of it, this might be an interesting show as two girls dreams of becoming Blue Mermaids to protect costal towns. Aside from the global warming element to this show, it makes me wonder what powers they will get when they become one. We’ll find out soon enough.
Unhappy
Airdate: April 10th, 2016
Studio: Silverlink
At last, it’s another slice of life featuring an all female cast, but this time it focuses on a girl named Hibari who goes to an academy that is home to students that have negative karma. She meets a girl named Hanako who has poor health. It makes me wonder what type of relationship they will develop.
Hundred
Airdate: April 4th, 2016
Studio: Production IMS
Looking at the premise, it’s somewhat interesting since it’s a school battle action series as earth is attacked by a mysterious life forms. Yes, it’s another harem anime, so expectations won’t be high. Still, I am wondering how the female cast will fare in regards with their fighting abilities.
Site Updates
I have to admit that the last few months have been very rough for me. While January was off to a good start, I was frustrated by the big drop in comments. Last week was very discouraging since nobody left any.
Believe it or not, I value these comments more rather than likes as I enjoy the social aspect rather than using social media, which have become toxic in general. On the other hand, aside from the lack of ideas for editorials, winter anime has been mostly lackluster and hopefully with spring coming up hopefully it will rebound. Regardless, I still enjoy writing about anime and such and I will continue to do despite discouraging stats.
As for life stuff, the past two months has been rough since my grandmother has passed away a few weeks ago. While I was angry at some relatives that are known to take advantage of others and then turn around and act like they can do no wrong when they are the ones that contributed to it with their decisions, nothing can be done about it now. This can explain why I wasn’t online much for the past few days as I was attending the funeral and such.
With the downer news out of the way, there are many things I look forward to in the next few months. Aside from new ideas for editorials I plan on writing about, I will begin studying for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N3. I already got two study guides for reading and listening compression along with a book that will help me understand the Kanji a bit more. Once I start working on it, I will eventually share my experiences on it while I prepare and after taking the exam at the end of this year.
Lastly, on the second week of May, I will be on a business trip. In short, the amount of updates will be impacted a bit providing if I have internet. Otherwise, I will just prepare a bunch of reviews and editorials ahead of time so that there is still content. Catching up won’t be a problem since it’s only for a few days.
With that, it seems that I have a lot of exciting things in store for the next few months aside from trying to clear my backlog that keeps growing. Feel free to share what shows you are planning to watch during spring in the comments.
Excellent! Most of the shows you picked up are on my watchlist this season, meaning we’ll be discussing more shows this time around.
And I feel ya dood. It’s lame when there’s next to activity in the comments section. It can be demotivating. When it happens to me with certain shows I stop covering them entirely and hope for the best when I review them later on.
In any case it is as I said in the Tweet a few days ago. Winter was an uneventful season but Spring promises to be more fun.
It seems that there are more shows that are interesting compared to Winter. It’s surprising since Winter at least as a few enjoyable and popular shows, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
On the other hand, it’s understandable especially considering that only a handful of blogs are very active these days and I usually keep the recent activity tab closed. I admit that I kind of neglect participating more in the community due to myself being busy, especially with real life stuff along with worrying about my grandmother as mentioned, which had an impact during the past two months. Although it was on my mind, it was on my parents mind for the most part. While it’s over, the aftermath is not pretty given that it started up new fights in the family and such to the point where I don’t want to get involved.
But on the bright side, things look exciting for the future, aside from the Spring anime of course.
“next to no activity”.
