Finally, there is a cute cyborg cat girl!
Believe it or not, robots are something that is currently in development as we speak. Of course, with cyborgs in development allows humans to do what they never have done before. This basically allows Nene, our female cyborg protagonist to become a top gamer without any experience. When I saw her playing with a handheld console that looks like a Nintendo 3DS, it makes me wonder if people will still be playing old handheld consoles 30 years from now.
Aside from that, the characters are enjoyable. Aside from our attractive female scientist, Uzal who has a strong interest in Nene after meeting her on the cruise ship, it seems that Nene has a lot of potential. This is especially the case when she demonstrates her fighting abilities while they defended themselves from disgruntled workers.
When she borrowed some software from Clarion, she can skillfully shoot down all the security bots with the use of a gun without being trained. Yep, it shows the true strength of being a half robot and half human since the possibilities are endless. Still, I wonder why the girls who work for Uzal decided to rebel against her. Maybe it’s because of something that she did? Who knows, but thankfully they surrendered.
As a whole, the show is decent so far despite the animation look somewhat dated. While the characters are fun and not to mention, Clarion is too adorable that Nene grows a strong attachment for her, it makes me wonder how will Nene use her new powers to fight against the rebels? We will see soon enough.
I think the dated visuals are intentional based on what others have told me. I wouldn’t know since I am not known to put priority on animation unless it is unavoidable.
Otherwise, gay cyborgs and a gorgeous 30 year old scientist. Not a bad start at all.
It’s understandable, but still, I wonder what they will face next time and see what new powers Nene will get aside from a magical girl outfit.
We shall see.
