The beach party is finally here and of course, Illya can’t catch a break from being teased.
While not much happening plot wise since it’s a beach episode after all, this was a very fun episode. Aside from Issei, who is Shirou’s friend tagging along, which give Suzuka some Yaoi fantasies, I enjoyed the girls playing in the ocean with a beach ball and of course, Miyu ending the game early by spiking the ball into the water. Bazett also shows up wearing a swimsuit, mostly harmless since she had to sell ice pops to pay down her debts for ruining Luvia’s mansion. Of course, she forced Illya, Kuro and Miyu to buy an ice pop. Yep, this just shows that you don’t want to mess around with Luvia or she will make you pay.
Aside from being Miyu’s, Kuro’s and Illya’s birthday, which they got a celebration for, I felt very sympathetic towards Illya as she gets pushed into a misunderstanding near a construction site. As she tries to push her friends away from there, Luvia and eventually the other girls pull her into the mix-up. Ruby makes it more chaotic by injecting some kind of substance into Shirou, which causes him act funny. After Ruby subdued the bystanders, Ruby injected love potion into him and of course he almost made a move on Illya before she punched him. Thankfully, the kiss didn’t happen or I would be very disappointed. At least Ruby got the punishment she deserved for doing this. Even so, Illya’s reactions during this whole ordeal were hilarious.
From the looks of the next episode, probably Rin and Luvia with their digging machine find their way closer to the 8th card. Hopefully, Illya, Miyu and Kuro will be prepared for it once the time comes. It’s already quite obvious what the last card will be after all.
As far as beach episodes go, other than the blissful glory of seeing Luvia-sama, Rin and Bazett strut their stuff this was mediocre.
Could have been better, but there is no denying that Luvia, Rin and Bazett look good in their swimsuits.
Oh yes indeed.
