Resuming from last time, Caster has finally snatched Saber away from Shirou. It seems that Rin has a plan to save her, but sadly, it didn’t go so well.
From Rin’s dream, it seems that Archer gets summoned in order to prevent mankind’s destruction in various time periods. When he was forced to clean up the mess they caused before he can save them, there is no wonder why he despises humans. It’s because his ideal burns him every time.
Given that, while we already know that he does not get along with Shirou given his experiences, it’s also evident that he doesn’t trust Rin either. This can explain why he betrayed her at the last-minute and decides to sell his soul to the evil “winning” side. I have to agree, someone needs to punch Archer now for failing to protect Rin and joining Caster willingly. Then again, we don’t know what he is up to since he might betray Caster without her knowing at any time.
On the other hand, I have to give Shirou some credit since he did something useful for once. He saved Rin from being killed by Kuzuki and Caster with his trace magic. While he still feels pain, it seems that he is Rin’s last hope. Without his trace powers, she would be a goner. Not only that, when he comfort her by saying that her plan was not completely wrong because of one mistake, he finally shares his feelings through a heartfelt confession to Rin. I already expected this considering that they dated each other in the last episode, I just can’t be hard on Shirou this time since that scene was so heartwarming.
With that, it seems that the only choice Shirou and Rin has is to get some help from other people to beat Caster. It’s basically the same deal like the other Caster in Fate/zero. However, there is not that many servants left that are not under Caster’s control, except for Lancer and Beserker. Yep, it means that they are getting help from Illya, which will also lead to that dreaded scene that some people are afraid to watch in a few weeks. Either way, we’ll see what will happen next time as they figure out a plan to defeat Caster and take back their servants.
I’m definitely going to skip that scene with Illya. It’s just too much for my heart…
I can’t blame you since I do prefer Prisma Illya over the Fate/stay night Illiya… but hopefully it won’t scar me too much, unless I skip it.
Expect that dreaded scene in episode 15. I have been reading that the producers screened episodes 13, 14 and 15 in advance and the comments…oh gawd. It was heartbreaking to see. 😛
Thanks for the notice… Feal should take notice. :p
