We are heading to the home stretch with only two more weeks until most of the winter shows concludes.
Dog Days Double Dash – Episode 10
Believe it or not, this was a pretty interesting episode since we learn more on the star people and of course Faris. When I saw her in this episode, she is a giant compared to our heroes. Apparently, she can make familiars of herself so that she doesn’t have to leave, which is nice. Still, it’s surprising that there are mermaids in Flonyard and Adel happened to visit them on her journey with Fi to defeat demons.
Aside from that, the culprit behind the sickness demons happens to be a very creepy guy that spits out poison from his arms. He apparently wants Aria to himself. While we don’t know much about him besides the fact that he is a bad guy, it makes me wonder how he will react when Gaul comes to rescue her. Also, will Shinku and Rebecca come back in time with Mihi to save them? I guess we’ll find out next week.
Shirobako – Episode 22
Although I hate Hiraoka, it seems that pairing him up with Tarou makes him tolerable. It’s just funny to see the two behaving like complete buddies since they get along with each other. I guess putting two unlikable people at least make them bearable.
Aside from that, not much happens in this episode besides meetings, Misa asking Ema about the last scene and Ai finally saying a word. Sadly, we see more Shizuka suffering. It seems that she can’t catch a break since she still can’t land in a voice-acting role while a high school girl can. Sadly, things are not going to get any better for her anytime soon. Believe it or not, there is a recent article on AnimeNewsNetwork with Ohtake Hiroshi, an 82-year-old voice actor stating that 1 in every 100 voice actors becomes a professional.
Wow, that is very harsh, but I hope things will change soon. Hopefully from the latest author’s disapproval or table-turning might give her an opportunity to find a role. After all, I highly doubt the writers want to keep her in despair forever.
