After witnessing the special training Fubuki has gone through in the past few days, Nagato decides to test her unit in a special mission. Will she make it?
From the looks of it, I had a feeling that Fubuki was not going to make it. Sure, she has made tremendous progress in the last episode. While she receives various things such as a big bowl of blueberries, a very large parfait and a lucky charm, the only thing that calms her down is of course seeing Akagi since she looks up to her as a mentor.
As a whole, while the surprise attack operation was a complete failure since the enemy spotted them before they could do it, there is one thing that surprised me. While everyone had a hard time taking down the enemy that targeted them while they fled, Fubuki managed to shot down two enemies without missing and saved Mutsuki. Yep, it just shows that Fubuki just needs to put more faith in herself.
Sadly, something unfortunate happened. In this episode, we finally got to see Kisaragi. It seems that Mitsuki has precious memories with her since she was the one that comforted her while she was damaged. Unfortunately, Kisaragi couldn’t fulfill Mitsuki’s promise. After her unit thought they were done, an enemy plane fired a torpedo at her. Not only she got severely damaged by the attack, she also sank.
While we barely knew her, her death already pulled my strings as I almost cried. The same holds true with the game since each player will grow an attachment to a ship girl. The player certainly doesn’t want any to sink. While she is not an important character, it’s apparent that Mitsuki will become depressed after hearing the news next time. I hope that she will be able to get over it with the help of her friends next time.
