At last, the last two shows I plan on watching for this winter has finally aired. Now, it’s time to share my first impressions on the third season of Dog Days and Idolmaster Cinderella Girls.
Dog Days Double Dash
It took two years, but Dog Days is finally back as Rebecca, Shinku and Nanami returns to the fantasy world of Flonyard. I have to admit that the English commentator at some kind of competition was surprising to hear and he had perfect English. But in general, the introduction was different from the usual as Shinku and Nanami lands in a dangerous forest filled with dinosaur like creatures.
I have to admit that this episode serves as a nice introduction for new female character that is based on a pony named Sharu. She is voiced by Uesaka Sumire, the same voice actress that done the voice for Tail Red for Ore Twintail last season (kind of ironic considering that she now voices a character that wears a pony tail instead of twin tails).
As expected, there are demons in the forest she protects, meaning that she will eventually have to take refuge at one of the kingdoms next time and get some help. Either way, I’m glad that Dog Days is finally back and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next time.
The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls
At long last, Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, a social game spinoff is now getting it’s own Anime. While we didn’t get to see the whole cast, we are introduced to Uzuki, who is a surprisingly average girl who likes training and Rin, a girl who works at a flower shop that keeps getting bugged by someone to become an idol. While I enjoyed both of their personalities, I can’t wait for Anzu’s appearance since she is lazy and a total NEET.
As for the producer for this show, I find him surprisingly enjoyable. While he looks intimidating, he is awkward in his own way, especially when he tried to push his business card on Rin many times before causing a big misunderstanding with the police. Aside from that, I can’t wait to see what girls he will recruit next time.
(Note: I will also be covering Isuca when it airs on January 23rd. I will be doing episodic posts for that show along with Kantai Collection.)
Anzu certainly is a character I really anticipate in upcoming episodes. Her image song is so funnt.
I love how One For All has a DLC for her too. Hopefully I’ll get around to importing it later in the year.
Yep, and I wonder what will the Producer’s reaction will be when he tries to drag her to work. It will be funny. :p
But aside from that, hopefully a Best version of the game will come out later this year. Haven’t touch the extra story DLC since they are not free, meaning I need to buy Japanese PSN credit again. Probably do it once I have a job and some money left over.
