Since we know how Rin, the main heroine summoned Archer, guess whose back! Yep, it’s Emiya Shirou.
It has been a long time since I have watched the first few episodes of the original anime, which focused on the Fate arc. As expected, Shirou gets a lot of flak from most viewers because he acts like a total idiot in this arc thinking that he can save everyone when he already acknowledged that it’s not possible. While I don’t have a particular like or dislike towards him, I hope that someone will restrain him. Regardless, I admit that Sakura is cute, but I can’t help to feel sorry for her because Shinji is a total jerkass. Then again, he will get what he deserves along with his grandfather in the Heavens Feel arc for what he did to her in Fate/zero.
Considering that I have already watched the first three episodes of original, which this episode condensed in a 60-minute episode, I felt that the execution is obviously better than the former. Sure, I already knew what happens to Shirou in this episode as Lancer stabs him in the heart and he somehow survives it. Then, he eventually summons Saber to fend Lancer off. Still, the fight between Lancer and Saber looks better and more exciting than the original.
From the look of next episode, it seems that Shiou and Rin will finally meet Kotomine Kirei to learn more about the Grail War. While it’s nice to see a tie-in with Fate/zero showing Kiritsugu visiting Shirou at the hospital and saving him in a flashback, hopefully the next episode won’t be nearly as long as the first two since they already introduced the two main characters of this arc.
Screw you Man-Dung as usual. I look forward to seeing fair Sakura’s ominous movie debut in the future and of course Saber never, ever, EVER, sucks!
Ah yes, the original mini-baroness Illya. Fond memories of her commanding the mighty Berserker to unleash ultimate destruction.
Yes, he had to show up, but hopefully the Heaven’s Feels movie will be worth it when UBW is finally done.
Talking about Saber, she looks pretty good in the outfit she was wearing in the intro.
Yeah, curious to see how they’ll adapt the long winded discussion about the grail system with Kirei in this adaptation. *nods*
I’m curious about that too, but I might have a feeling it will be another 60 minute episode unless they can condense it without leaving stuff out.
Still, I can’t wait for how Emiya this time will handle the fight against Beserker this time. :p
