Now that summer has come to an end, it’s time to take a look at what shows I plan on watching for the fall. Like always, this list is subject to change.
Will Watch and Cover
Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works (TV)
Airdate: October 4, 2014
Studio: ufotable
I admit that I own the DVDs of the original season, I only watched a few episodes since I had mixed feelings about the production quality. When Fate/zero came along, I knew that they will remake part of Fate/stay night and they are doing just that. It’s a good thing since the Unlimited Blade Works movie was not well received, but hopefully they will get it right this time.
Amagi Brilliant Park
Airdate: October 2, 2014
Studio: Kyoto Animation
After focusing on in-house productions for about two years, it seems that Kyoto Animation is going to adapt a light novel from Kadokawa. The source is written by the same author of Full Metal Panic and is the screenwriter for Hyouka. While the premise is interesting, hopefully this show will be a breath of fresh air.
Will Try (covered in Anime Weekly Digests)
Shirobako
Airdate: October 9th, 2014
Studio: PA Works
Although Glasslip gave me a bad taste in my mouth since I didn’t know what it wanted to be, I hope that Shirobako will be an improvement as it focuses on 5 girls trying to get into the Anime industry.
Ore Twintail ni Narimasu
Airdate: October 9, 2014
After reading one of the preview posts from the blogosphere, I admit that I’m somewhat intrigued by it since the premise seems crazy. Apparently, It involves a boy receiving powers from a mysterious girl to transform into a twin-tail warrior girl to fight monsters.
Life Updates
As I head to my last semester of graduate school, I’m going to be somewhat busy. While one of my classes doesn’t have an exam (although there are a lot of papers I have to write) and another with only a final exam and project, I’m going to post at a somewhat irregular pace with 2-3 posts focusing on Anime and 1-2 posts focusing on editorials and reviews. Even so, I’m hoping to finish the Noire Strategy RPG and review it along with sharing my first impression on Ciel nosurge this fall. In addition, I plan on covering the Idolmaster Movie, which will come out in a few weeks. In short, it’s going to be a busy season.
Aside from that, what are you planning to watch this fall?
Best of luck covering everything you can dood. Also we share some shows we’ll be checking out so it’ll be like last season discussing one or two shows.
Yep, the past few weeks have been rough, but I think the future looks bright, especially when I start working. While I might have to work every day, I don’t have to focus on course work, but instead on job training. But first, I need to do some job hunting.
Aside from that, I do look forward to what the fall season has in store.
I have 5 anime series looking forward to but my top 2 would be Psycho-Pass 2 and Chaika The Coffin Princess: Avenging Battle.
Good luck with your studies.
While I’m not covering any of the shows you mentioned, I hope you will enjoy the fall season.
Thanks! Enjoy your picks too. Let’s hope they turn out good for us both.
