Yep, Yukiho definitely trolled us with that letter…
From the last episode, I speculated that Honoka was in big trouble for slacking off as student council president and surprisingly, I was wrong. The letter happens to be Honoka’s health records of some sort indicating that she gained weight, which is every girl’s nightmare. Of course, Hanayo who apparently eats a part of a big rice ball that Hoshii Miki dreams of eating also gained some weight.
Aside from that, it’s kind of hilarious to watch Honoka and Hanayo getting forced on an extreme diet and exercise plan that Umi came up with. Still, I wonder why Umi didn’t consider the track at school considering that s rice restaurant distracted them from their goal. Oh well, at least Hanayo managed to lose all the additional weight quite quickly except for Honoka, who lacked any discipline. While we know that she have some bad habits when Nozomi imitated her eating habits, it gets worse from here when it comes to the student council.
From the look of it, I’m quite surprised that Honoka hasn’t been sacked from student council for the fact that she does hardly anything. Her laziness is the reason all the paper work started to accumulate. Adding to the trouble, Kotori accidentally puts the Art Club’s budget request in the approved bin without realizing that it needs to be done during the meeting. While her mistake is a rather trivial, I feel that this incident made Honoka realize that being a leader has great responsibility and perhaps she shouldn’t slack off and be that careless as doing so will make her look bad. I think she finally realizes this as they spent the night preparing the budget and managed to have it approved while owning up to the mistake the next day. This pretty much proves that she can do student council work. I feel that she just needs some drive to do it.
As a whole, I’m glad that Honoka proved herself that she is not a bad leader at all, just a lazy one. With Muse trailing A-RISE in popularity thanks to their big success from the Halloween performance, I think they are in a good position. Aside from that, this leaves us with the final character that got left out of the spotlight before we head to the next round. Yep, it’s Nozomi.

Heard nothing but bad things about congress. When one of their priorities is to keep the Washington Redskins’ name instead of changing it, then we know how bad congress is.
