People are wondering if Akihito actually dies? We’ll see…
In the first half, I thought that Akihito and Mirai will live on, but sadly, it’s not the case. This was all a dream and while we got to see some funny moments such as Mirai wasting all the eggs in the refrigerator to make omurice and seeing Mitsuki wearing a bathing suit, something was rather off. Besides being summer, Mirai seems to have a slightly different personality compared to the real world showing that it’s just a dream. She eventually reveals that she sacrifice herself to make him live on.
While I felt that the second half was more of a recap of what actually happened, Izumi pretty much shown her true colors. She basically used Mirai as a tool to have her kill Akihito, which contains the ultimate youmu. Fortunately, it backfired for the fact that Mirai couldn’t kill him since he looks like a normal human and had some feelings towards him. After Izumi decided that she had to intervene, it seems cruel for the fact that she made Akihito to reveal his Youmu side during the lull and force Mirai to sacrifice herself without realizing the consequences. What if Akihito finds out that Mirai done this and got spared from death? He would possibly get depressed. Not only that, wouldn’t Izumi ultimately regret all of this for the fact that she made Mirai sacrifice herself in order to protect her family’s name? Probably, but then again she might not care.
As Akihito finally wakes up and realizes that Mirai is gone, will she ever come back? Judging from the next episode, perhaps she has another way to save Akihito without having to sacrificing herself. Whatever that might be, hopefully it will lead to a happy ending after all the drama. Even so, I still wish that Izumi would take responsibility for what she done so she can redeem herself.
