Days before the Vacation
Like I said in the last few posts, I will be going on vacation starting this Thursday. Because of that, I finally got one more video game to keep me occupied. Yesterday, I received the Neptunia Idol game via EMS and I got to say, it seems that Japan Post delivered well considering how expensive it is to ship it quickly.
Aside from that, I got the first print version which came with two bonuses, a transparent character card and a skin for the Playstation Vita, which I don’t plan on using since I have a screen protector on it already and it’s already filled with nicks and scratches. I plan on starting a new game very soon, so stay tuned.
Now, let’s focus on the Anime Impressions for this week.
Photo Kano Episode 12
At last, Tomoe finally gets the last episode. Compared to the other girls, her arc felt disappointing since there is hardly any intimate interaction between Kazuya and Tomoe. Instead, their time together mostly consist of “let’s capture every memory I have with her.” While we get to see her in different outfits, it wasn’t enough. Overall, I think Photo Kano is a decent show…
Oh wait, Kazuya’s younger sister, Kanon is getting her own episode! That came out of nowhere as I thought that this was the last episode. But if you think about it, Photo Kano is trying to be like Amagami SS (more so if you start comparing the girls), but fails to do so because there aren’t enough episodes to develop all 7 girls. While this show manages to be somewhat enjoyable, I just can’t stop thinking about how much of an improvement this show would have if it had 24 episodes. Still, it’s not as bad compared to…
Ore no Imouto 2 Episode 12
I knew this would happen considering that the light novel took this route. From this episode, Kyousuke has to be one of the most pathetic male leads I have seen thus far. He outright rejects all the girls that would have suited him more. Not only Ruri gets left in the dust, which already made me angry already, Ayase who seems to love him a lot gets rejected too. Isn’t it obvious already? He is in love with his younger sister, Kirino, who has the worst possible personality. No wonder he studied so hard so he can reunite with his little sister. Because of this, I was so close to dropping this show today, but it would be pointless considering that the next episode is the finale. So, I’ll make my final judgments then.
