Since the Winter Anime season is coming to an end, it’s about time to share what I will be watching for the spring. As always, its subject to change. (Image Source)
Ore no Imouto Second Season
Studio: A-1 Pictures
Premiere Date: April 6, 2013
It’s back!!! While I have finished the main episodes, I never completed the extra episodes from the prequel. Still, from the look of things, it will be a nice improvement over the first season since they upgraded the animation quality. Because of that, I wonder how it will turn out.
Red Data Girl
Studio: PA Works
Premiere Date: April 3, 2013
If the lack of Mari Okada is an indication, I have high expectations for PA Works as the premise sounds interesting although they don’t always come through all the time. From the look of it, it’s going to look visually appealing.
I know it’s out already, but the quality sucks since t’s streaming, so I will wait a week.
Suisei no Gargantia
Studio: Production IG
Premiere Date: April 7, 2013
Gen Urobuchi returns! I was quite intrigued with his story writing after watching Madoka Magica. While I don’t typically watch Mecha shows, I had watched science fiction shows (although technically Nanoha has mechas and space battles). I’m just quite curious how this will turn out and from the looks of it, might be another hit like his previous works he done.
Photo Kano
Studio: Madhouse Studios
Premiere Date: April 4, 2013
While writing the review, I completely forgot about this show. Apparently, this is the spiritual successor to Amagami SS, which I have watched, so I don’t see why I shouldn’t watch this.
This pretty much wraps up what I plan to watch. So, what are you are watching next week as we shift the focus to spring? Feel free to share your thoughts and I will be posting links to other people’s previews as they come
What I have seen so far of Red Data Girl looks very good. I’m definitely looking forward to the hi-res releases.
I think PA Works shows are visually appealing, but I hope they keep up the success they had with Tari Tari and not go back to the mess they had with few of their other works…
I feel like Suisei no Gargantia has the most potential out of all the shows this coming season.
From the looks of his previous works, this are already an indication, but we’ll see once it begins airing.
We share Oreimo 2, RDG and Gargantia. Cool. We’ll see how it goes as the season progresses.
