Since I completed the first season, how does the sequel plays out? Well, rather well.
From an aesthetics viewpoint, it’s a noticeable improvement over what we had in the prequel. The girls look a lot cuter this time around while the scenery got a bit shinier. On the other hand, I noticed a subtle difference with Kodaka’s hair as it got a bit darker compared to last time. It seems they toned down the blond part of his hair.
As for the content in the two episodes, the first episode merely reintroduces all the characters in the club and Sena’s father and servant. As you would expect, it’s mostly focused on Sena, although we do get to see Yozora sporting her hairstyle for the sole purpose of making fun of her. I find it rather hilarious, although the crazy hairstyle that Rika and Yozora came up for Sena was also funny.
In the next episode, this is where the new stuff comes into play. From the looks of it, Kate is just as crazy as Maria, but a bit more crude when she lets out a fart. On the other hand, I liked Rika’s new looks without the glasses since she looks prettier than before. Still, the surprising part is that she probably convinced Yozora that yaoi is better than eroge that Sena plays, leading to this fight against the two. While the comparison isn’t fair considering that the movie took all the dirty aspects of it, it’s like comparing apple and oranges. Even so, it resulted in an enjoyable fight between the two where they recite lines.
After watching the first two episodes, I’m pretty confident that the sequel will enjoy the same success or do a bit better than the prequel. The characters are enjoyable as always. Because of that, I can’t wait to see what other activities they have in store and most importantly, the fights that Yozora and Sena will get into.
