This episode was so painful that I had to watch the rest of it at 1.5x speed.
If you can’t get any more mundane than this, you are mistaken. This is basically the Winter Comiket episode from the second season with the same old sexual innuendo misunderstandings, which is not funny. The only difference is that it’s the summer one and they made a visual novel to sell. Also, It seems that the producers want to spice things up by deciding to bring back her so-called best friends from elementary school that decided to dump her because liking Anime is such a bad thing! If they did that to me, I would never call them my friends. Given that they were forced to act mean because her rival hates her guts, they should have defied their leader if they were best friends of Haruka. Otherwise, they should have just left her alone. Either way, it got resolved and they apparently got into Anime as well, so it’s not a big deal.
On the other hand, I beg to differ the maid’s and Mika’s choice of cosplay. I mean, Nanami cosplaying as Asuna from Sword Art Online? Didn’t they get the memo that Sword Art Online is the most disappointing show of the year? I can’t comment about Accel World and To Aru Index cosplays since I didn’t watch those shows, but Nanami’s just proves that this show has crap taste when it comes to Anime to put in as a cameo.
Aside from that, three of the four episodes I watched were downright bad or mediocre. Now that Haruka wants to marry Yuuto, it leaves us one question to ask: Will we actually see them kiss without getting cut off again? If it actually happens, was it worth watching 28 episodes to get here? Probably not, but at least it will finally give us some closure after waiting several years for it to happen.
I admire your patience: I watched it at 3x speed, because on one hand I am a completionist, but on the other hand my patience with this kind of show is growing very thin.
Well thank you. I kind of lost it from the second season, but it has to be done as the this show is finally done.
Comedy series is comedy, but I agree that the teasing with the kiss was really unbelievable in the second season and the OVA. I liked some of the characters though so I suppose it’s fine to watch it…:P
Yeah, that part really got me angry about the series and pretty much the sticking point. If they haven’t teased us so many times, I would probably feel different about the series. Even so, I do like some of the characters although I hated Touka since she is way too much of a stereotypical tsundere that I cried in a corner.
